What is RSS?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and is used on sites which regularly update their content. It allows visitors of the site to automatically check whether new content has been added instead of manually visiting the site.
There are a number of applications on the internet which allow people to sign up and keep a check on all their favourite RSS feeds, they are commonly known as ‘feed readers’ or ‘aggregators’. Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7 browsers both have inbuilt RSS readers but a number of independent application are available to download to your desktop.
To sign up to Purple Coo’s different RSS feeds use the RSS feed link. To sign up to a users RSS Feed visit their profile.
