HS send of a disc to a client of the pictures he had taken of them . . . family portrait shoot . . . yesterday he got an email saying that the envelope had arrived - opened - and the CD had been stolen . . .
So the lesson is disguise everything you send . . .
He will of course be complaining to the Post Office . . . |

GGrrrrrr - sometimes I wonder why people do the petty things they do. What have they achieved?
Sometimes when I hear stories of postmen who are caught with 20 gazillion undelivered items under their beds I'm not surprised.
Has HS considered viewing his photos through an online secure system? therefore eliminating the Royal Mail! |

My teddybear collectors magazine used to come in a plain white plastic mailing bag and frequently had two obvious finger holes in it where somewhere along its journey someone was I suspect looking for porn(magazine in plain packaging).
I would have loved to be a fly on the wall to see their dissapointment on finding the wrong sort of "BEAR" on the front cover.
Having said that there are always a FEW bent posties in the system(as in any major organisation)so it is worth making it as obvious on the outside as you can that HS doesn't take "those" sort of photos...(or does he ?)
Think of it as extra advertising too.
In the Post office we used to have to put plain stamps on anything going to the Soviet states or India to stop it getting nicked over there for the stamps which were worth alot of money for selling to collectors!!! |

It's a sorry state of affairs in my opinion, but I now send important things recorded or registered depending on the value. It's a rip off of course...being forced to pay more just to ensure delivery .
I guess it just reflects the way standards have dropped re: the postal service. |
