Sorry to hog the top of the Support page, but for those who want to, this is the topic to try out your picture posting skills. I've done another tutorial on my blog, which should open in a separate window, so you can have this page open at the same time.
Now, get those pictures posted! |

If I had a class to keep in order...
I put this post up because there were people who indicated that they would like to be able to post pictures in the forums, as opposed to just on the common room page, and they weren't sure how to go about it.
It would be nice if people could actually POST pictures on this topic, by way of reply, so that others may be encouraged to have a try. If there are those who can post pictures on the common room page and in their blogs but can't here, this is a way, possibly, of learning how to do it. IF they want to do it, of course. I accept that there are those who post pictures elsewhere but have indicated that they can't be bothered trying to work out how to do it here and don't really care; that is a matter for them.
But if anyone's interested in trying, please, please have a go - I'd hate to have done the work for nothing, much as I enjoyed putting it together. |

Have you done this in the forums before, then, with an image from your own computer?
If not, well done. |

Thank you Jacko - no I have always used the berludy bucket before.
When I right clicked on my dell mouse on my Mac I did get a different menu than the one you described - but by clicking around I managed to open the picture on the internet as you described . . . I did the lesson on Safari and Fire Fox. Much prefer Firefox and PC works best on Firefox. |

Thank you Jacko - I have mastered it after a bit of messing about and have posted several pictures now on the homework forum.
Here is another effort:

Yours looks like a picture from the www, Rosie - is it?
And WW, could you elaborate here the options available on a Mac mouse right-click, please, or the steps you took to get where you got? |

Sigh . . . I knew you would ask that . . . goes off to find dell mouse and plug it in and then to post picture and right click on preview with much
View Image
Copy Image
Copy Image location
And some others that weren't relevant.
I clicked on Copy Image Location which copied the address in the browser which I then put in the forum, highlighted and clicked on Img.
I could also have gone View Image and then highlighted and copied the address in the browser - effectively doing the same thing, but manually. |

The picture is an old photograph of my husband and brother-in-law at Cowbridge carnival 1970 dressed as Boudicca and a Roman Centurian.
I had a small problem as I work from a Mac. When I wanted to copy the address of the picture from the 'right-hand click' box I found the option to copy on the menu bar was gone. I solved this by copying the whole address out by 'hand'. I daresay if I had known the keystroke for this I would have saved myself some trouble. I will work on this. |
