Our chief owl Camilla has had a lovely day with her grandson, and has asked me to put up the post tonight.

Tomorrow, we will again be treated to one of Camilla's wonderful pictures. Meanwhile, tonight, the perch is open, so if anyony else has a picture to share, please do so.

It's been a beautiful day in New York, sunny and warm. I've been preparing for my return to work tomorrow morning. I'll go in early, to have more opportunity to see what I have missed, and to view the general lay of the land.

Right now, I am so relaxed, and glad to have had the time off. And also a bit proud to have refrained from even checking on work-related e-mails during the past two weeks.

I couldn't resist and I'm glad that I didn't! Now, I have a little book full of magical photographs and the unmistakable voice of our dear Westerwitch. I don't know how the raindrops in Scotland can hang from the grass- so fat and round- but they do for her.

I've started a little Cowart's section on my bookshelf and this wonderful volume has taken its place next to Blossomcottage's Purplecoo Cook Book. More please...

The first two callers said they were from Barclaycard and wanted me to confirm my date of birth - which I would not do even though they said it was important.

Today's caller asked for me year of birth. To see what she would say, I said 1927 straight away without hesitation, whereupon she hesitated and asked me to repeat it which I did. Then she said there was some anomaly and would I give my home address, which I said I wouldnt. Then she said it was important and I should go into the nearest Barclays bank asap.

What do you think? Scam or what?
