HELP!!! iPods

HELP, have just bought an iPod shuffle for F9 for his birthday tomorrow and am going crazy trying to fill it with his favourites (some, Bobby Brown by Frank Zappa and some Ben Folds HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE - best headmistressy voice there). Still, I've worked out how to copy our CDs onto the machine, and have a production line going. But what about the next bit, I just don't get how to copy across. Words like "import" do it for me. Or don't. And we have stuff I've already "imported" which have made it into unlikely "playlists" but am freaking out rather as want it full of stuff by tomorrow and am rubbish. Thank you any uselful people.

Camilla's Avatar Milla honey, get thee to kitchen........ sit down and make a cuppa, can't have you stressed out. Know what you mean though, Granddaughter was given one for her 14th birthday in October from my son, I had not a clue how he did it, I will email him and ask for info, all this techy stuff is beyond me.

Unpeuloufoque's Avatar Nope sorry can't help but I will sit here and scream hysterically for you whilst I run around in circles pulling my hair out so you can concentrate on trying to follow wretched instructions if that is any good?

or you could look here and see if that helps..

ChrisH's Avatar It would be easier if I could show you! Sigh! Once you've 'ripped' it off the CD and it's in your music library on the computer you select the tracks you want and 'sync' them to the mp3 player. That's it.

Exmoorjane's Avatar Um....dare I suggest you lie back with a restorative little something and give F9soontobe10 the iPod with a cheery 'and now you have the fun of putting on your tunes...' They are so quick and we (ChrisH excepted!) are soooo slow.

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar Good idea Exmoorjane. I got a present of one ages ago. PC, Blogspot and my webpage are enough for the moment. Still have a photo frame, and photo keyring to tackle. I think we are all amazing.

Pondside's Avatar Brave soul - no idea how to do any of these things - that's why I have the Great Dane!! I'm too lazy to learn, unless it's something I really want to have!
Good luck!

Camilla's Avatar Milla - I have spoken to son, had to ring him anyway for info on books. he said he really needs to be there to show how it works, however, I have just read that....... download itunes, after you do this you put more of your CD'S and a window will pop up asking if you'd like to import the CD tunes, click YES, drag and drop the songs onto your ipod. Also you can download free singles of the week from itunes.

Hope this helps Milla, your son will love it anyway, I'm sure all will be fine eventually, lucky boy.!

Milla dear, you will have a lead that connects the computer to the ipod. Once you have downloaded all your cds, attach the pod to the computer and it will do all the transferring by itself....... at least that is what mine does. Hope all is sorted soon.
