Cowart's Common Room

Hello to all sleeping beauties around the globe.

This is New York calling, creeping gently into you dreams, just to let you know that ... if you cannot sleep so soundly through this lovely April night, why not log on here and share those waking hours with others whose eyes are wide open?

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Lovely to see you, and thank you so much my Owl friend in NYC.

Did anyone back their favourite horse in the Grand National? Years ago I used to have a 'flutter'. I chose the horse I hoped would win - Snowy Morning, like the sound of that. Well it was not a winner, but did come third in the race. Even so, when I watch the horse racing I am a tad worried for those horses over the jumps, always fret when I see a rider and horse go down. Anyway, well done to the winning Jockey - Tim Murphy, lots of sugar lumps for the horsey I hope.

Went by a lovely old shop today, I love anything to do with Antique Linen & Lace, another one of my passions, then onto a few more shops for a bit of window shopping.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Good evening Camilla,
I wish there were some way to click on some button that would just switch our late posts, so that your beautiful pictures would be the first to be seen.

Pleasant dreams, and best wishes for a sunny Sunday.

Camilla's Avatar Ah, thank you Frances, but I am relieved to know that my lovely Deputy Owl is there for me first if I do tend to nod off on sofa.....

Sweet Dreams to you Frances, have a lovely restful sunny Sunday.

Hello Frances, I wonder if it is a chilly Sunday in New York, I have woken up to a dusting of snow this morning!

Camilla, Did you go to the Doctors with your bad shoulder? I did put a rather late post the other day but it dropped off the common room. What you described doesn't sound the same as my frozen shoulder but I will cut and paste the article I was trying to put a link to in the health forum, then it's there for future for reference for anyone else.

Cait's Avatar Camilla I have the same notebook as the one in your last pic - is it yours?

That shop is very attractive.

I hope you shoulder is better, I had no idea you were suffering.

Camilla's Avatar Frances - Hoping that you have sun in NYC, although I do have a passion for the snow too.

Fern - Thank you for your thoughtfulness, I have had a pain in my right shoulder for weeks now, but the pain is worse too if my right arm is used to excess. Thank you for putting the link onto the health forum Fern, so terribly kind.

Cait - I love this little notebook, I noticed this on the most beautiful website of Buttercups & Roses . I will try and put up the link in CR. How wonderful to know that you have one of those pretty notebooks Cait.

Thank you for your kind concern Cait, I am not that bad, and I can withstand quite a lot of pain, I seem to have a strong pain threshold. Will go to see GP though soon.

Frances's Avatar Hello all,
No snow this morning in New York. Instead we see grey sky, and feel damp air in the mid 40's F. I don't think that we will be having any more snow around here until next winter.

Dear Camilla, please do make that GP appointment!
