Cowart's Common Room
Day Dreaming Lark

A lovely and most perfect day here of sunshine, blue skies, wispy cloud and the gentlest zephyr of a breeze to ventilate the passers by and the flowers in the garden. Bees buzz and birds whiz ever on the look out for food a snack. Eggs are gently incubating in unseen nests and God is in his Heaven and all is right (temporarily) with the world until such time as the climate flips and we are burnt and flooded with darkened skies and failing crops and plagues of Biblical proportions. Ah well.

Even Ross at the Bookshop was sitting this morning on the pavement outside his emporium engaging pedestrians. Most of whom he knows and I know. I talk to him about how any three points must lie on a circle and we are engaged by a friend who has vertigo which she says is brought on by drinking too much coffee. Most people have something wrong with them so we suffer together. It is the young people who are beginning to seem like an alien species. Even to understand what they are saying is a problem. Unlike me they are not fazed by the new technology which is on their phones though they are by lamp posts which they walk into.

But who worries on a beautiful and cloudless day? What a day for a daydream!

Have a good Easter folk. Chocolate when invented by the Aztecs or Incas or Mayas or whoever was once hallucinogenic, I read, the species of chocolate bean letting you chill out and tune in. Sadly you get that no more with Green and Black's. Glass of absinthe anyone?

Withy Brook's Avatar Wall to wall sunshine and a zephyr! Son and dil were sitting out and now are off for a walk on Hadrian’s Wall.
Dil suffers from vertigo - horrid.

Camilla's Avatar Beautiful afternoon just arrived back with Patch from our walks over the dunes with throw the ball and fetch. He is keen Patch just seems to have lost a little energy since he has been on his new diet food, its supposed to be healthy and good for his allergy but the food stinks highly and he continues to drink a lot which makes him wee a lot. Will ring vet on Tuesday.

Met one of our neighbours here who tells me he and his wife have just returned from a ten day holiday in Argentina/Brazil. They were invited to a wedding there from a couple they met while they were previously in the year on holiday in USA.

Was going to cook a roast tonight but feeling rather lazy have decided it will be a pasta dish tonight with garlic bread instead.Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar Sounds good. Garlic bread is yummy. ED is a fan too so I expect we'll have it tomorrow. Tell Patch that it's OK - I have lost a little energy too, but still have to cut the grass. Took me most of the morning to put the new mattress on my bed and take the old one off. Several false starts, then the bed fell to bits, but new mattress is very comfortable and quite without lumps. Now it is a question of getting rid of the old one which weighs a ton, has no handles and won't bend or squash. Definitely need some garlic bread, triple strength. Maybe a G and T too! Fennie's Avatar That painting could be painted with just four tubes of paint - Ultramarine blue, chrome yellow, pillar box red, and black. Very Happy
