Beautiful morning and perhaps the first day that I have been able to walk fully upright again. I have much to be grateful for I thought as I sauntered down into town for my French class.

Yesterday at the Colwinston Philosophical Society the speaker was Leng Lim - who divided his time between America and China but lived in Singapore. By profession he was a life coach but had studied to be an episcopal cleric at Harvard. He talked of the importance of transitions in life and accepting things that were happening to you with the Biblical examples of Mary and Elisabeth.

Only two questions matter, he said, if I understood him correectly (which is by no means certain) - 'what are you grateful for? and 'what is the pain?' This seemed to me most profound especially when combined with the example of active acceptance.

Anyway I must now get hard to work as it is the tour of Ewenny Priory tomorrow and we have about 25 people coming along. I feel I need a badge and a peaked hat. Hopefully it is the punters that will be grateful and I will not feel any pain. But if it all goes the other way up it could easily be the other way around: I feeling lots of pain and the punters not grateful at all. But I suppose we shall just muddle along in the middle as usual. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar LaughingNor me Withy, I should think John the Baptist started life in much more humble surroundings.

The saunter into town will probably have been quite good for your back Fennie, nice gentle stretch for aching muscles.
I have no doubt it will be the former with your flock enjoying every minute of your tour and hopefully your back will comply!
