Cowart's Common Room

This photo reminds me of spring though it looks more like high, or even late, summer. Well something needs to remind me of spring. Here the sky is of an opaque whiteness, like a low powered fluorescent tube. This combines with a hidden sprinkler system which is switched to intermittent.

My back is a bit better and I shall try walking into town later for the paper. I have hardly moved the last few days and it has made me feel awful: a continuous mild headache that extends from one end of my spine to the other and extends to my forehead with occasional sharp stabs if I try to twist or lift. I have had to cancel any plans to attend Saturday's march, not that I see any point to it. Meanwhile I have to decide whether to go to my old friend's funeral in Le Havre on 1 April (always assuming that we don't unexpectedly 'crash out') in which case it is doubtful any ferries would take the risk of running. If I don't go I feel I shall be letting the family down and if I do then in my present state I shall probably do myself (or someone else some harm). I am not quite right at the moment even without the back problem, though the two may be connected. Oh what a depressing post this is! I did want to write about Spring.

The spring has sprung
The flowers is riz
I wonder where the birdies is
Dee birds are on the wing
But that's absurd! De wing is on the bird.

There that will have to do. Have a good day

Faith's Avatar I am sorry you have a bad back and feel generally low Fennie - hopefully all that will improve. Maybe it would be more sensible not to go to the funeral considering everything?

As to de bird - how is Sparry and what have you done about him? You know us Cooers will nag you about it.

Glad your back has improved Fennie but you still need to take things gently just in case it goes again. Will you go to the funeral?

Hug and get well wishes for you Fennie.Very Happy

Camilla's Avatar I had the most horrid night, unable to sleep another panic attach and sinus bad and today I have had many intervals of going to the loo still at it now.! something I ate maybe? I did make a very strong cheesy pasta dish yesterday evening, and served with garlic bread, has not affected my HL though.

Camilla's Avatar Another mid day here with the weather although not as warm as yesterday, and just a tiny glimmer of sunshine.

Mowed the lawn yesterday after the busy morning I had and also painted the window box, cooked meal but by around 7pm had stitchy pain in my left chest... think I may have overdone it all day. My HL said to me why do you do so much all in one day, and I said.... Because there is no one else to do it.!Rolling EyesSmile

Fennie's Avatar Camilla and Faith - thank you, you are true friends. Very sorry to hear you had a terrible night Camilla and that you are feeling low. Purple calming vibes to you. Really don't know about the funeral. But I am not up to travelling for the moment. In fact I am not well at all. It will also cost about £250 plus flowers/meals etc., which could be far better used. Will write about Sparry later. All you have said is quite correct and thanks. Faith, I hope your problems are becoming easer too and if not then some purple comfort vibes.

Withy Brook's Avatar Matron thinks that you would be wise to decide now not to go to the funeral. I know exactly why you feel that you should go but the family will understand if you tell them that you are not very well just now. They would hate to find out that you had got worse by going.
Lots of healing purple vibes and gentle hugs. Take care and whilst I know you are anti doctors, you really should go and see one if you are not feeling better in a day or two.

Fennie's Avatar Thanks Withy. I know you are right. I am not really anti doctors, they have probably saved my life on a couple of occasions. Very Happy

Withy Brook's Avatar It’s the old “don’t want to bother them “ syndrome!

Westerwitch's Avatar Awwww Fennie sending hugs - hear you when you say you are not feeling quite right - pain can do that, or it could be a bit of black dog creeping in? It doesn't sound as though going to the funeral is a good idea - you need to put yourself first. Maybe a trip to the Docs and a referral to see a physio for your back. Back pain is miserable. xWWx
