Cowart's Common Room

Woke up to quite a good covering of snow, when I had to get up, as one does. By the time I got up properly, there was stuff running down the window which was wet sleet. Now there is still snow on all plants etc and the ground but it is looking all sludgy and will be gone completely before too long - to be followed by far too much rain and more gales.
Say it very quietly, in case the weather imps hear, - next week the gales will go away, it will become drier and even, by the end of the week, should get warmer!!

Fairy Nuff's Avatar We've only got lumpy rain so far, wouldn't go so far as to cal it sleet. We're just on the outskirts of the big blue splodge on the weather maps.
It does look better from Monday onwards, not that I think it's finished yet, we normally get another dump just as the exams start at the end of April... the one time of year they actually want to get to school.Laughing

Camilla's Avatar Gosh snow in March Withy, must be cold where you are. Grey sky here in Norfolk and very fierce winds still. Met a neighbour along the way yesterday who said to me... that's it I have had enough of these bloomin fierce winds now.Very Happy

Fairy Nuff's Avatar I meant at the end of April when our Scottish exams start Camilla after the Easter hols.
We have a fresh dump of snow nearly every year in the first week of the exams at the one time of the year the pupils can't afford to have a snow day and are panicking they may not get to school, we have done ever since I was doing mine in the early 80s.Laughing
