Cowart's Common Room
Afternoon Post

Afternoon All,

Another lovely bright sunny day and the feeling that Spring is on it's way although slight chill in the air today.

When Patch and I were on our way back from the dunes yesterday afternoon I met a lady who had the sweetest dog, only 8 months lady told me and full of beans, breed was a cross between a JRT and a Pom and a Chow, teeny little soul named Rufas. Rufas had even more energy than Patch had.Very Happy

Dave our heating engineer arrived this morning at 9am, lovely man used to live in London but now lives not far from us with his wife, re reminisced about the good old days in London. Dave was here for hour and half to service our boiler, he has fitted a new injector component and got rid of a lot of soot built up inside. Another £144. ! Apparently a new boiler would cost us £3,000 not that we need one Dave said.

Have a good day everyone.Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar Glad you are warm again. Yes spring has arrived, or so it seems, with sunshine. Doesn't Patch bring back a lot of sand in his coat? How do you clean him? Very HappyVery Happy

Patch does indeed bring back a lot of sand in his coat and a lot of the tufty dune grass all mossy too in his coat especially when he does roly poly when he is out there.Very Happy I just give him good brush when he gets back outside but if he has been rolling in muck and mud then its the bath for him.Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar We met Julia one of neighbours over the beach this afternoon she has a Red Setter named Muttley who has gorgeous red fur. Lovely boy and quite cheeky. Patch allowed him to have one of his balls as there was no way Muttley was going to give it back. Lots of dog walkers about this afternoon children have broke up from school for the half term and the weather is lovely today.Linked Image

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Our boiler need seeing too as well the heating's OK but the hot water runs hot cold hot cold hot cold... not good since we have a direct feed shower.
You have to jump in and out the stream of water as you soap up and rinse off waiting for a warm bit to do so. Blink

Re:
Camilla's Avatar That sounds a bit like the main shower in our cottage FN, one minute hot water then no hot at all I love my bath with bubbles and candles but sometimes use a shower.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Yes they are completely bonkers aren't they the Red Setters Fennie but super personality. They can be quite stubborn I think though too sometimes. Come on Muttley off we go to the top of the dunes.... er nope think I will just sit here for a while and enjoy the view and come when I am ready...Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Thanks Fennie, not too bad at the moment, I shall feel more relaxed once I know the results of my bloods and Full Health Check next week.

Perhaps it is the sun that has perked me up.Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Yes, the old Vitamin D. The sun for free. Or you can buy Vit D in a bottle. Good luck with the blood test results and the Full Health Check. You never know what they may find. So much depends on one's state of mind. Very HappyVery Happy
