Cowart's Common Room
Old Clothes and Porage

Uploaded Image

...as the saying goes - Back to old clothes and porage - although we actually had hot Dorset cereal this morning instead.
Spent most of the last fortnight feet up, watching films and eating chocolate, Mum came for Christmas dinner, we went to HO's Brother last weekend and two Orca came to visit us on Monday!
Will finally catch up with what everyone has been up to.Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar I go back to old clothes and porage daily but have not yet seen any orcas in the garden. Do you feed your orcas? - I suppose they wouldn't eat porage and would demand seal, the seal would then demand salmon, the salmon a plate of crustaceans and mackerel and the mackerel a load of chicken feathers, just like the old woman that swallowed a fly. The chickens though might be grateful for the porage. Incidentally, the spelling 'porage' looks wrong despite it being on your packet of oats and even on the packet of oats in my cupboard (also Scotts). The spellchecker thinks so too. It prefers 'porridge.' I might have spelt it with two 'r's. Weird! Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar It's an advertising gimmick Fennie, a made up word from Porridge and Potage, like Weetabix and Nesquik.Very Happy

John Coe and his friend are indeed seal eaters but normally seen on the west coast not over here. It will be interesting to see where they turn up next, perhaps they are on a road trip round the coast!.

Re:
Faith's Avatar I also wear old clothes and eat porage daily. I didnt know that porage was a made up word - I thought it was the Scottish or old fashioned spelling.

I havent done anything interesting to catch up on. Been ill and that's it, mainly.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar An awful lot of us seem to have been ill despite the porridge and what's more my bug at least seems to come and go, come and go, I am well one day and feel 90 the next (and an ill 90 too!) Sad

Re:
Fennie's Avatar But you always give the impression, Withy, of being a spring chicken. Are you sure they didn't make a mistake on your birth certificate and that you are really far younger than you think you are?

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Our Withy will always be young to us I am sure as Fennie says there must be a mistake on birth certificate.
