Cowart's Common Room
Lark Post

Morning Larks,

Much milder weather today here a few tiny rain showers earlier and the breeze is quite keen, the sun has just popped his head through the clouds.

Apologies not been around much lately, just trying to get back into gear after a busy festive period and of course the sad news of a member of our family has hit us hard.

Now for the Chickens... there is a little lane on opposite side of the road where Patch and I cut through to go another way on our walk to the dunes. A lovely man John who lives in a cottage down there and if you peep through his side gate of the rear garden you can see his chickens, John tells me they lay lovely eggs for breakfast. Anyway I had not noticed before but at the back of his garden there is a wooden hut and above it the words... Chicken Palace, the chicken's little home.
Very Happy

Hope everyone is well, have a good day.Very HappyUploaded Image

Camilla, what's our postcode, where is this where is that, can you find this can you find that, can you check this can you check that, and have you done this and have you done that... phew, this can go on for hours and not just one day but every day... Re:
Camilla's Avatar The film crew for Anglia BBC1 news have been on our beach today filming about the severe erosion of it here in Winterton on Sea. I did not see them but the proprietor of our post office told me when I popped in earlier. Just caught it on catch up on the lunchtime news, can hardly believe so much more of the cliff has caved away to a big drop. Will the beach café be safe it has already had to be moved twice, once last year and the other 7 years ago. Hear there is severe weather too in Essex.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar The hens will start laying now with the days lengthening. This afternoon a man stopped me to tell me that the days were lengthening. He said it was amazing. I said we were twenty five minutes better off than we were at Christmas. The dog looked pleased too, but didn't say anything. I patted its head. It was a sheepdog but probably crossed with something else.

There's been a lot or erosion here too, the cliffs fall into the sea. Eventually my erosion will meet your erosion - somewhere south of Birmingham I shouldn't wonder. And what then? We shall be swallowed up. But I suspect it will be 8 million years before the residents of Kidderminster or Coventry need to be alarmed. Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar Hallo Camilla - sounds a lovely meal. I think we are having spaghetti. I am trying to reduce the alcohol - from little to nothing. All very sad. But it is having a bad effect on me. Yet hard to do without it. If only I were thin I would eat potato crisps and drink red wine and be right as rain. Very HappyVery Happy

Yes worrying about cliffs falling into the sea mind you I think I will think twice about sitting inside that beach cafe perched on top of the cliffs when I next have my Capaccinno.Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar I love pasta Spagehetti too Fennie, I have cut out red wine for now with my meal I find it is too harsh on my tummy when going to bed so now have just one half glass of white instead. I like Gin but for some reason it always makes me slightly depressed afterwards . At a festive family ocassion my grandson made me a cocktail of Gin, Rhubarb, and Ginger shaken not stirred as Bond would say... It tasted lovely but later in the evening on going to bed I woke with heavy head and gloomy and bad dreams.

J Lumley gets by on her diet of just peanuts, lettuce and crisps daily whether that is true or not oh and her champagne of course, hard to believe but that is what she said.Very Happy
