Cowart's Common Room
Momentous occasion

Uploaded Image

Not quite a party today but maybe an invitation to a party next month. For today is the day that I shall be writing to my customers telling them that next month we shall be handing over the business. It is both a joyous and sad occasion. Joyous because we are nearing the end of a toil of sixteen and a half years but sad also as I worry about my long standing customers being adequately supplied. I know people, big firms too, depend on me (albeit in a small way); we are a part of the supply chain and that needs to be kept speedy and efficient.

I tell myself that all will be well and if it isn't well then it won't be my worry but it's a little like your children leaving home and you waving goodbye on the doorstep.

But of course there's an upside: we shall be going to a party, the burden put down. We are off to see the bishop - the wonderful bishop of Oz!

Have a good day everyone. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Of. Purse you worry that the business will not be carried on as efficiently, but I expect it will be and it will be a great load off your shoulders.
If we are asked, I am sure we will all come and help you celebrate!

I am sure you will continue to worry about the business Fennie but I am sure all will be well and as Withy says it's a great load off your shoulders. We could all come and pop some corks to celebrate next month with you even if it be on cyber land here on Coo.Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar No Camilla. Don't believe everything you read in the papers, or even on websites. No, I am off to French in the morning as usual where we shall be discussing whether we prefer living in the town or the country. I have always been one for the country. And in the afternoon to a meeting of the Vale of Glamorgan Association of National Trust Members for whom I am doing my tour of Cowbridge on Friday.

Otherwise no great news except that this week seems very busy. Peoples Vote March on Saturday and a dinner on Monday. Very Happy

Re:
Faith's Avatar No one is indispensable - harsh but true. Your customers will no doubt find someone else - though maybe not as efficient as you. Now forget about them and enjoy the new chapter of your life coming up!
