Cowart's Common Room
Lark Post

Morning Larks

Much cooler today and some rain showers forecasted later, thick cloud and breezy.

Somehow I have managed to strain my right thigh/hip whether I slept badly or perhaps it was throwing the ball for Patch I know not. Very Happy

Managed to get access to internet late last night and still without a landline but hopefully my line will be sorted when Engineer comes out tomorrow between 1-6pm. Why is my landline not working all other neighbours nearby are not having a problem. Emails were frozen yesterday evening but seems to be okay now though.

Have a good day everyone.Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar Isn't that Wisteria, wonderful? It really is the most beautiful of plants.

Didn't know of your telephonic difficulties, Camilla. Hope all will be well soon. Ditto the hip.

Hot and muggy here, cloudy skies though. We need a good thunder storm.

Fennie's Avatar Our house has a slate roof. When the sun shines it is like having underfloor heating, except this is overfloor. It makes the house extremely hot. Too hot to do the housework necessary for our French visitors on Thursday, especially given the humidity. Very HappyVery Happy

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Fennie.

I actually will be getting three pots of Wisteria later this year in September so hopefully when they arrive and put them out they might flower the following year in late spring. How long did it take for your potted Wisteria to bloom Fennie?

Not so hot here today at all and the breeze is keen and chilly, Thursday it is going to reach 24 degrees with lots of sun so that's good .

You don't want underfloor heating we have it all on the ground floor but it has to be turned on of course then when you turn it off it's still unbearably hot.

Get thee an electric fan I can't do without mine just gives you that nice cool breeze when hot and muggy.Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar I bought it last year I think and it was flowering then in its pot and its just coming into flower again. It's in a bigger pot now of course.

Maybe I should buy a fan for the office. It's just the slate roof that heats up in the sunshine and then stores the heat like a radiator.Very Happy

Camilla's Avatar Good investment a little fan Fennie or you can get bigger ones. My HL has the garden door open for about nine hours a day which leads from sitting room he is aways continually hot even in severest winter I said he should live in an igloo . So I can't close the door any time if cold as he just opens it again and it remains wide open obviously okay in summer time.

Hopefully the Wisteria I buy will be just as successful as yours Fennie.Very Happy
