Cowart's Common Room
Stressed Lark

Beautiful morning again. Just cope it will continue fine and dodge the weather forecasts for our 45 French visitors who descend on the town on Thursday.

The following day is the play and the stress levels are already building - the efforts of 12 people to be coordinated without rehearsal plus scripts, costumes, sound lights and so on. You have to think of a back up plan should anyone not turn up. But like so many times as soon as it is over you forget the pain and go back for more. Theatre is like a drug and a hard drug at that.

Generally tired yesterday after a broken night but managed a walk to the castle and how wonderful it looks in midsummer, the Bailey mewly mowed and the big sycamores in full leaf. But why are some folk so deficient in decency. I spotted a newly discarded large packet of snacks on the grass and an empty coffee cup beneath the public bench thoughtfully provided by the WI. And yet there's a waste paper bin at the entrance! I picked up the offending articles and threw them away.

I shall watch Andrew Marr now and then go for my walk up the hill.Very HappyVery Happy

Camilla's Avatar Morning Fennie and everyone,

Thank you kindly for posting for the larks Fennie.

The pic you posted of your walk to the Castle looks so beautiful I can see why you love it so. As for folk who are irresponsible for leaving their litter they need a lesson in keeping our countryside clean and tidy but some folk just won't take the hint that is for sure.

Hope you had a better night sleep last night Fennie, only 15 degrees here with lots of cloud and light breeze and a few rain showers last night. Hopefully the sun will pop out later today.

Baked a dozen fairy cakes yesterday afternoon not sure I would be entered into Bake Off though! Just wish I had remembered to get the Baking Powder.

Fingers crossed for good weather for your visitors next Thursday and best of luck with your Play, I am sure it will all go fine Fennie.

I know you like Bach and play it on the piano, just heard Palita No 1 in B snd I thought it really lovely .

Have a good Sunday everyone .Very Happy
