Cowart's Common Room
Early Lark

Morning Larks,

Perhaps our Fennie can put up his own caption seeing as his next play is Tintin..... obviously Snowy would have to be included too. Let's hope there are not too many escapades on the way to the Church.

Have a good day everyone.
Very Happy

Re:
Bradan's Avatar Good morning, Camilla Very Happy

Stormy weather here, ferries are off. I put my Advent pic up just after midnight last night as we had power and internet, wasn't sure if we would have any this morning but ok so far. The next few days are meant to be bad here, storm something or other Rolling Eyes

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Good Morning Bradan,

Sorry to hear about the weather you are having, gosh the next few days too. Stay safe, keep warm. Do you have to make your way to school Bradan?

Fingers crossed your internet stays on too.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Storm Caroline, Bradan, I believe whose coat tails will no doubt bedraggle us here!

And so to Tin-Tin, who appears here in a very curious picture. He is hatless, scarfless, gloveless and bootless, all essentials for trekking to service in the winter snow. (I am presuming this is where he is going, though of course I could be wrong: he may have been snatched from some warm dry environment and thrown out of an aeroplane belonging to a pirate priest, snatching an ill-fitting coat and Bible on the way, the Bible to be used as a species of body armour for when the pirate priest catches up with him and pulls a pistol).

The lantern is a bit of a mystery, particularly as the night doesn't appear particularly dark but of course it may not really be a lantern at all, but a species of homing beacon. And of course we would be wrong to conclude he was going to church as he may in fact be coming from the church around the hill at the bottom of which a motorcar is waiting to take him to breakfast with Captain Haddock at Marlinspike Hall. If you look carefully you can see the two policemen following just out of sight.

Yes, there you have it Camilla, the story of Tin-Tin and the pirate priest who imprisons his parishoners and extracts their gold all by hanging a fake star in the sky. He has chased him all over the world and finally seized his chance by letting himself be kidnapped by one of the pirate priest's evil financiers and then jumping out of his private jet through the trees and into the snow, the faithful - and aptly named - Snowey at his heels. Mystery solved. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar According to my weather app Storm Caroline is going to blow at around 40 miles per hour tonight, from 4.0 this afternoon to sometime in the early hours-later rather than sooner. I think you should get some roo, Fennie. Bradan, thinking of you as you always get it worst. You will be hit hard too, I think, Camilla. Take care everyone.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar I hate to admit it but I've never actually read a Tin-tin book. Blink

I think Bradan is to get the worst of it later, we have high winds and snow forecast overnight but not as bad.

Taking time out from "work" this morning to fashion a brooch for a friends Christmas, a horses head in copper wire, not tried it before so wish me luck. Very Happy
