Cowart's Common Room
Bewildered Lark

I had a message this morning from Blossom Cottage about a video that I had apparently posted. The cover shot shows a boy and from this shot one could imagine this was about refugees or some African conflict. I don't know more as I haven't been unable to open the video. Blossom's message was to ask 'How could I?' But of course I never posted this - it is a virus or at least the work of some disobliging troll type person. So if you should see it you know the explanation.

Otherwise it was a quiet sort of a day yesterday apart from the French conversation class. There we talked about parachute jumping for charity which our teacher said she had done. I said that in an earlier life I had seen someone killed this way when the parachute candled and nothing would induce me short of an aeroplane in flames to jump out of one. But she said that the experience - attached to an instructor - was exhilarating, which I am sure it was. Her young son aged 9 or 10 is now following in her footsteps, not leaping into the sky but shaving his head for Children in Need. We all dutifully coughed up but I said I would donate twice as much if he would keep his hair as I think that people without hair - especially young people - do not look attractive and there is plenty of headgear that people can wear to cover their pate's. Those that live in the middle east seem to have a monopoly of such non hat headwear with their Fez's and skull caps and scarves and those rather elegant headpieces worn by Bedouin and Saudis and much promulgated in the film of Lawrence of Arabia.

Well there's no sun here that is for sure - just a gloomy sort of morning.
Have a good day anyway.

Re:
Faith's Avatar I always think that when people are doing something for charity it should be something useful as well - so I would be much more likely to support people sweeping leaves or picking litter or removing graffitti or something rather than shaving their head or sitting on a bike in a supermarket cycling to nowhere.

Fennie's Avatar I gather now after a bit of research that it was Blossom's account that was hacked, not mine! Phew! But what a nuisance for poor Blossom. A plague on all these trolling people.Evil or Very MadEvil or Very Mad

Re:
Bradan's Avatar A bit of sun here, but still damp and gloomy.

No message from Blossom for me - but had a message early this morning from my neighbour over the bay to say that another neighbour was missing a young, black heifer that had wandered away from the herd, so spent a wee while having a look but no sign Sad
