Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Quiite a mild day today for October with 18 degree's and hardly a breath of wind, but very chilly tonight.

Patch is much better thank you, he has eaten his dinner this evening, always a good sign he is on the mend. He has also enjoyed his walkies over the beach today.

I finished painting the garden furniture today, I have got to be quite a dab hand at this painting malarkey.Very Happy

Kettle is on for a brew, if you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Fennie's Avatar Glad Patch is better, Camilla. I thought for a moment that must be your house with its wooden floors and underfloor heating, next the sea and so forth, but I suspect it isn't. What colour is the garden furniture? Is it that same blue colour? I am useless at painting, the reverse of a dab hand.Very HappyVery Happy

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Fennie. My front door is almost same colour Farrow & Ball in the shade of Lulworth Blue, but the top two panels of the door are clear leaded glass, and yes the floors are the same wooden with under floor heating but with a hall rug on in a blue and cream mosaic design.Very Happy

No the garden furniture table is Garden Shades by Cuprinol in Coastal Mist a very pale blue but I have painted the chairs different colour in Daisy White. Also painted the garden tall wooden gate in deep Iris blue earlier in the year. I am not a painter Fennie I just slap it on and try to get it evenly painted which I seemed to have managed surprisingly.

Any luck with your computer yet Fennie?

Fairy Nuff's Avatar We kept our old wooden futon base when we got the new sofa with plans to paint it and use it in the garden as patio furniture when we eventually get the decking squares laid (they've only been in the shed for 8 years!) I was planning a nice shade of blue too.

Camilla's Avatar Morning All,

Thanks FennieVery Happy pleased to hear your laptop is now sorted wonder if the same thing happened to mine it kept getting hot too. Courier is picking mine up some time today supposedly then I have to wait 5-10 days for it to be returned back to me . What Aniti virus do you use for your PC Fennie? Suddenly realised that mine has expired ages ago I must sort this out soon I use to have a AVG one.

Very sunny day today but lots of fluffy clouds in the sky and a keen easterly breeze which will help to get my laundry dry on the line.Very Happy

Camilla's Avatar What a good idea FN with the futon base for the garden, the garden shades paint is lovely and of course it is weather protected so if it rains it still stays as good as new. I love the shades of blue for the garden but the paint I used for the garden table is quite pale blue Coastal Mist but I love it, Google Coastal Mist Cuprinol paint and you can see the shade or type in that colour on Pininterest. If you want a very deep sort of blue Iris is another good shade . Very Happy

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Nice colour Camilla, a bit pale for us it would get dirty very quickly I think, we're so close to the road. I like the darker forget me not and the wild thyme which is a little greener.
This is all a moot point of course as we have to lay the decking first! Laughing

Fennie's Avatar I don't use an anti virus, Camilla. Only my mac computers are connected to the internet and mac computers are less susceptible to attacks. I am also careful in what I download.
I would have an antivirus system with a Windows computer.
My fingers are crossed. Mind you I don't have the flu jab either. Very Happy

Fairy Nuff's Avatar You don't need to buy a new antivirus programme Camilla, Microsoft has its own built in one for windows 10 in the form of Windows defender.
It protects, scans and zapps nasties that try to get onto your computer.
It should be automatically switched on but you can find it in the settings page on your laptop to make sure or type "windows defender" into the search space next to the start icon in the bottom left corner of your screen (the white circle icon).

Camilla's Avatar Oh FN that is kind of you, many thanks for letting me know about the anti-virus thingy. I have copy and pasted what you have said and kept it in my notebook, once I get my laptop back I will look into it further, thanks again FN.
