Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Landed on the perch earlier tonight as am off to get some shut eye soon to catch up on missed sleep. Our dear Fennie will no doubt have already safely landed on his French holiday and once slept the sleep of sleep will be ready up with the larks for the continental breakfast of croissants and warm baked rolls with coffee, although for me I would have to skip the coffee until elevenses. Very Happy

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Yes, indeed Camilla we are an hour earlier here but just had an excellent breakfast of coffee, croissant, bread, butter, yoghurt and apricot jam. The sun is shining warmly and no doubt we shall walk shortly down to the sea for a stroll on the beach. See pic below (from the tourist website) if I can put it up. We go down to the Cantal tomorrow. Re:
Fennie's Avatar Took some pictures on the beach this morning. Virtually deserted and the tide out. Absolutely beautiful. Will post in due course all being well. Now about to sit on the terrace in bright warm sunshine and enjoy a glass of Muscadet as it is after 12 here.Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Morning All,

What a lovely beach Fennie! Pleased you arrived safely did you fly to France? No doubt you did, when we went to Spain in the late sixty's we drove through France and stopped off for the night at a hotel in Toulouse and had continental breakfast before we continued on our way to Estarti near Callela. There were four of us and I was the only gal.Very Happy two more female friends were supposed to join us for the holiday but they couldn't make it. It took us two and half days to get there! We went in September too and it was very hot even then.

Camilla's Avatar Enjoy Fennie!Very Happy

I have just come back from the dunes and beach with Patch it was lovely over there the sun glistening on the sea and the tide rushing in hardly a soul about just how I like it, mind you I wouldn't mind being on a French beach this morning Fennie.

Just about to have a late breakfast and it is already 11.20am.Very Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar C'est si belle! Hope you have a great holiday.

I shall be wining and dining this weekend also in Cromarty at the Harp weekend including Croissants and coffee for breakfast if so wished.
I don't normally have coffee until the afternoon but I do quite like it for a leisurely hotel breakfast sometimes along with a full Scottish. Very Happy

Re:
Bradan's Avatar Have a great time, Fennie.

Wet and windy here today after being lovely yesterday, beaches deserted apart from anglers.

Harp weekend sounds good FN, although we would call it clarsach. Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Yes beaches are best when deserted. Just made another walk along the beach, the tide in this time and walked just along the surf line then back through the dunes. I'm sure you would enjoy it Camilla, but I hope you aren't having a taxing time at Winterton again.
