Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

A much milder day today and lucky we had no rain at all but the old wind was a tad parky walking over the dunes and beach in the afternoon when we were out for our walks. Met a nice man on our way who had a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel called Jimmy. Jimmy was lovely and let me stroke him, his owner told me Jimmy liked eating a lot (hence his portly tummy) man gave me a small titbit dog bikkie for Patch but Patch being Patch is very fussy what's biks he likes and refused it anyway. As I slipped the dog bikkie in my pocket I said to the man .... But Patch is very fond of a digestive it's the sugar .... Ah the man said ... I'm very fond of them too and he went on his way.Very Happy

Hope all owls and larks are well, kettle is on for a brew then dream pillows later.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Yes I have been mouseless for years, but apparently mice are useful if you are doing sensitive graphics work. Each to his own, I suppose.

And I am with Patch, Camilla, on the digestive biscuit question and infinitely prefer the MacVities article to any inferior brand while dog biscuits, which lack both salt and sugar don't cut the mustard at all. (Why does mustard need cutting anyway?) Did you know I had a great uncle, George, who was a director of MacVities having started as an ordinary salesman and worked his way to the top. That was a long time ago when MacVities was still an independent company. Now apparently it is part of some Turkish conglomerate. If Mrs Sturgeon ever makes Scotland independent perhaps she should re-nationalise MacVities and save the biccies for the nation.

How far along the beach do you walk, Camilla? I imagine it must be lonely out there with the wind, sea and sky and sand beneath your feet. Do you walk on the soft dune sand or the hard sand of the tidal beach? Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Ah! no, for sensitive graphic work one wants a pen and tablet, much more accurate than even a mouse. Very Happy
I use one for drawing on the computer and find it so much faster and easier to use I often leave it plugged in long after I've finished drawing.

Jimmy is an unusual name for a dog, although I suspect there are a few spaniels and terriers who would suit it.
So long as we keep a hold of Tunnocks Fennie I'm not too worried about MacVities. Laughing

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Did you get extra provisions Fennie maybe from Uncle George with the digestives .?Very Happy

Patch and I walk about 45 minutes either along the dunes which is a combination of sand and grass, or 45 minutes along the beach shore which is also very soft sand until if you want to go nearer the waters edge where the sand is more hard and shingle. We do two walks a day but I also sometimes walk him round the village near the village green pass the pub.

Today we visited my daughter and her dogs so did a 2 mile walk near where she lives I'm exhausted!Very Happy

Can be pretty lonely out there on my own but I have my wits about me and Patch.Very Happy
