Cowart's Common Room
Dreamy Windswept Lark

Morning All,

Where have I been all last night well I seem to have been in dream land for most of the time and woke up and remembered some of it so that will have to wait for further update later.Very Happy

What a very blustery day! 12 degrees here in Winterton land but rising to 17 later, weather chart also says we may have some bad water topping over the seas, shan't be tipping moi toes in the water then that's for sure or Patch's.

No damage done with winds in the night here hope all owls and larks are safe in their neck of the woods.

Have a good day and hold onto your hats!Very Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar We have passed, Camilla, like ships in the night. The troops have two posts for the price of one. Is that your beach - and what is the water in the middle? Where do the seals sit?

But what a marvellous East Anglian sky. One of the seven wonders of the world - the skies of East Anglia and Ely Cathedral.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Morning Fennie and thank you for posting Lark Post yes two for the price of one for the gang today.
Very Happy

No the scene is at Wells Next The Sea Fennie a most gorgeous beach on the North Norfolk coast the water in the middle is an Inlet which you often get at that beach . My children when young practically lived on that beach as my in laws had a cottage there where we used to spend every weekend and every summer holiday there, happy memories. Ah yes the East Anglian sky's they are rather special that's what I love about Norfolk the wide open sky's.Very Happy

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar So glad you did not have damage from the winds. They were mentioning North Norfolk and pictures of huge waves off Suffolk. I think more heavy rain is heading your way. Take care.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Morning Withy,
Oh thank you Withy no damage here thankfully hope you are alright in Northumberland?

We have had no rain yet Withy but I think as you mention we are heading towards some rain here later.

I always worry about my daughter driving back home from her night shifts here in Norfolk when the weather is bad but she always says... Oh don't worry I will be fine I'm used to it. A mother never stops worrying .Very Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar That looks so like Nairn beach Camilla, it even has the little inlets and deep(ish) pools that get left behind when the tide goes out that warm up in the summer sun to make the best natural warm swimming pools. Very Happy
I think we're missing most of the yeuchy weather here this time round.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Just looked up Wells next the Sea - it's a long way from you, Camilla. But all that coast line looks very interesting. Must visit it one day but it is a very long way from here. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar It's a lovely beach Fennie at Wells lovely sandy beach too and a long line of pretty beach huts too all privately owned of course some you can even rent while you are staying at Wells. My in laws used to own two beach huts after the war and both now into the sea with heavy floods. That's the only trouble with huts you can buy one for around £60,000 but if it gets lost to the flood you can't get your money back.Very Happy There is a lovely pub in Wells on The Butlands (open green ) named The Crown fab pub and it is also now a B&B I think .
