Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Good to know our Fennie is back home safely from his drive down to Surrey after his lengthy drive yesterday on the motorway. Long time since I have driven on the motorway don't think I would be be able to manage it again these days too stressful with traffic.

Patch and I had a lovely walk over the dunes this morning felt like a warm spring day but with a lovely cool breeze too. On the way back we passed Ray's Nic Nac Stsll which he sets up outside his little thatched cottage near the village green. No cash on me but I spied a lovely lamp base. Two pretty dinner plates and a pretty framed painting of a Heron sitting at the waters edge. Ray tells me the painting is by a local artist who has signed the back of it and was brought in for sale by a very posh lady. The total cost of all was £9 so I think a bargain. Walked back home after morning walk and went back and gave Ray the cash before anyone else fancied the items. The money all good cause as goes to the upkeep of the village hall and where the WI meet once a week I believe.

Rest of the day was spent doing chores. Is there any end to chores! And driving out to do some shopping for groceries and into DIY to buy a flurescent light to go under the cooker as other bulb had run out. Later more laundry then cooking, loaded the dishwasher in the evening and slumped on the sofa to watch Endeavour drama.

Lamps out soon. If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night. & Sweet Dreams

Fennie's Avatar Thank you for posting Camilla, Well done you for your bargains. Sadly the tummy trouble not yet gone away. No appetite this morning at all. If this continues I shall have to go and see the doctor. Beautiful morning. But such rain on Wednesday - unbelievable. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Sounds good value for money, Camilla!
So sorry the tummy continues to play up. Yes go and see the medic if it doesn't get better quick, before you fade away altogether!

Camilla's Avatar Morning Fennie and Withy and everyone,

Yes that's what I thought Withy, Ray has another smaller pic which I may go back and get today again by a signed artist of a scene in Thurne Norfolk.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Beautiful morning just like a summers day of which it is lots of warm sunshine clear blue skies and a hint of a cool breeze. I could sit out on the recliner all day and just dream away with a good book with some peace and quiet if only I did not have extra demands thrust on me for the day, or indeed pitch the wind breaker up over the beach with a picnic bag with a bottle of Pimm's stashed inside me basket.Very Happy

Sorry to hear you are still suffering with horrid tummy Fennie, perhaps you have caught a bug, please do pop along to see the quack just to make sure I know you don't like docs but he may be able to prescribe something. What is the pain like ? Did you have the pain after you ate something or before ? Although think you mentioned you thought it was to do with long driving distance and hold up on the motorway. Hope you feel better soon Fennie, lots of purple healing vibes winging their way over to you from sunny Winterton.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Very windy here today but quite warm with it for a change.
I can just see you sitting on the beach behind a stripey canvas windbreak, with your picnic, a good book and a flask of Pimms Camilla. Very Happy

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hi Muddie Ray's stall is opposite the green next to the Village Hall, although he does not have the Stsll out in winter time due to bad weather and if he is out he brings it all in and puts back out again when he is home.

Hopefully you will be able to be back in Norfolk again soon Muddie, we love it here in Winterton but miss our garden and the open fields there may be a possibility in time that we move again near Neatishead although not sure yet.

Re:
Inthemud's Avatar I know Neatistead very well, had school friends who lived there. the bus to Norwich went through Neatistead when we went to school in Norwich as children from Smallburgh. Though I think I would prefer to live in Winterton given the option!Very Happy
