Cowart's Common Room
Lark Post

And here is my own tribute to 10 years of Purple Coo and the thousands, perhaps millions, of words we have all written in our blogs and what nots. I have to thank you all for everything I have learned: I think Purple Coo has made me a nicer person, despite the passing of the years and I have learned a great deal about strange corners of our country and even other countries and places like Hamburg. I have learned about orcas and dolphins and seals and of course about pigeons and doves. I have learned about squirrels, jays, hawks, martins. I have learned of the actions of dogs and cats and of course unicorns. I have learned about archeology, gardening, illness and a thousand other things. It has indeed been a 'skool.'

In ten years time we shall all be ten years older. But as time flies as you get older I wonder will we notice? It seems invidious to single anyone out but I think special thanks are due to Camilla who has provided us with a backbone done the years with her 'Oh dear, back to back Owl posts again' gently chiding us to get our keyboards out and carry on. And we have shared, as the song has it, our ups and downs, our smiles our frowns . . . So well done Purple Coo one and all and especial thanks to WW with whom it all began and AA the great constructor - now I wonder whether Country Living might be interested in an article about us and what became of their old blogging competition?

Re:
Fennie's Avatar I have no idea what this plant is - obviously I have been asleep in gardening lessons - it may be a delphinium, who knows? Anyway it is the right colour. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
KitKatCot's Avatar Yes, it's a Delphinium!

I too have benefited from reading different points of view and others experiences. I love that we are a small group and we feel like friends so there's none of that backbiting and sharp comments that some other online groups seem to suffer.

I think the book club is a fine example of this. Our comments range from 'Absolutely hated it' to 'My favourite book of all time' all over the same book, with no offence given or taken.

Speaking of the book club, my copy of 'Golden Hill' is now at the library, so I will pick it up, have a read and make my very belated commentsSmile
