Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Rather a sleepy Owl tonight but enjoyed a lovely day with my family for a good 'get together '. Scorching hot day in the garden but dogs enjoyed themselves playing and could find their shady spot whenever they wanted and plenty of bowls topped up with fresh water. We had a delicious Chinese meal al fresco .Very Happy

Have a lovely Sunday everyone I am now off to hit the sack. Plan is for a stroll along the beach in the morning with son and Patch and stop by the beach cafe for cake and coffee.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Is the picture of anywhere we know? Reminiscent of Elder Daughter's garden where we are off to today: to have also a meal al fresco and en famille and to fete leur Papa. So glad you had a good and happy day altogether Camilla. And strolling along the beach in the early morning sun sounds wonderful. Beware of seals though. Ah the feel of sand between the toes.Very HappyVery Happy

No the pic is not mine found on Internet.

Thanks Fennie, have a lovely Father's Day at your daughters today with family the weather is going to be perfect for you but don't forget to wear your Panama for protection too against the Heat. Talking of hats it was exactly what my two children bought for their father too for today.Very Happy

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Oh! my comment disappeared, perhaps I headed for the forums too quickly after pressing the button.

It went along the lines of a walk along the beach then coffee and cake sounds lovely, I shall have to make do with tea and a scone in the Studio.
We're having a sort of working day off tomorrow with a tootle about the countryside... to pick up the last 10 books from HO's publisher (the reprint is underway) then along the coast to Spey Bay to deliver some postcards to the Scottish Dolphin Centre and no doubt lunch a the cafe while we're there. After that it's south to Grantown on Spey for tea at the Grant Arms Hotel where HO is doing a lecture for the BWWC in the evening and a late drive home afterwards.

Glad you had a nice family get together Camilla.

Re:
Inthemud's Avatar Scorcher here today, daughter and family went to beach but hubby and I didn't get there , by time I got back from church it was so hot couldn't face sitting in car for an hour to get to beach. If only I was in Norfolk and 10 mins from the sea like I am at mum's!Very Happy
Hope you've all had a good day.Very Happy

Re:
Bradan's Avatar Hope you enjoyed your coffee and cake, Camilla. There's a wee caravan up the road here that does teas, cakes and sandwiches but it doesn't open on Sundays, nor do any of the tea rooms on this island.

It's been dull and windy today but the sun tried shining a few times and we haven't had rain!!

We don't often go to the beach even though we're surrounded with them and the nearest is at the bottom of the garden.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Somehow one only goes to the beach when it is sunny, if one lives somewhere like Barra.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar 22 degrees, Camilla. That isn't really hot at all. Or do you mean 32?

Re:
Camilla's Avatar 22 degrees Fennie, is fine once past that I am wilting it's been around 24 or 25 recently and plays havoc with the old hayfever. Thursday is going to be 27 I shall hibernate somewhere unless there is a very cool swishy breeze.Very Happy
