Cowart's Common Room
Lark Post

But without a pic I'm afraid as I forgot to take my camera when the family came over yesterday and we all went off to the beach, the weather very blowy and gusting. The children looked for wildlife in the rockpools, Beanie collecting snails and stones. After a while she started to complain that her foot hurt: turned out she had been collecting little stones (she has done this ever since she could walk) and putting them into her Wellington. But the stones locked the boot onto her foot as if they were concrete. It took us about 10 minutes to get her boot off, she protesting all the while. Eventually by turning her upside down we extracted a large quantity of gravel and the boot finally came off. Then we all went for a cup of tea and an icecream while the windsurfers raced about over the pounding surf.

Hope everyone will feel well today and no more of us report in to the sick bay.

Very quiet on the business front now after three or four months of hard pounding. But this is typical

Watched 'The Loch' last evening hoping to see pictures of North Kessock or even FN waving in the background, but if there were any I didn't recognise them. Thought the programme over violent (what isn't these days?) and hopelessly formulaic and contrived. Where is Agatha Christie and her creations when you need her? Those stories are contrived too but at least they are fun.Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Do you think this will have taught Beanie not to put stones down her weed?! Laughing

Re:
Camilla's Avatar My eldest granddaughter when she was little used to love collecting shells and stones from the beach so too mine and now my little grandchildren as I expect all children do. Not for putting in their wellies though Fennie. Perhaps Beanie had no pockets and thought she would put them in her wellies until she got home not thinking they would fill up her booties unable to walk bless her.Very Happy

Did not see The Loch switched off at 9pm but saw it listed on TV page.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar High pollen count today very high in fact for about the fourth day. Antistimines taken. My eldest granddaughter has been so poorly with it last couple of days bless her and will soon be in Africa on a belated honeymoon holiday just hope the weather there is not so humid as it is here.

Re:
Bradan's Avatar Aw, poor Beanie. But if she has no pockets it's quite clever to use her boot. Very Happy

The weather here is pathetic, cold, dull and windy again today. So dispiriting Sad

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar I've not seen "The Loch" Fennie, I did see it hasn't had very good reviews so far. I doubt you'll see North Kessock in it since they seem to have done more shooting down Glencoe direction rather than Inverness which is technically where the police detectives investigating the mystery would be based.
