Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Sat out in the back garden late evening with a cuppa and a huge Hawk Moth flew into my face which saw me scurrying back into the cottage faster than the speed of lightning. I would not hurt a Moth but I don't like them flapping about, don't think I have seen one as big as that before could it have been an Emperor Moth although I thought the sightings of these were quite rare. I supposed it was attracted by the outside carriage lamp that was on.

Just off to make a pot of tea, back later before lamps out.

Have a wonderful weekend. looks like the weather is going to be fine.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Fennie's Avatar Poor you. Hope it mends shortly. That isn't your house is it, though I wouldn't want to be moving those chairs? If you were it is no wonder you hurt your back!

How is the merth after its encounter?Very HappyVery Happy

Camilla's Avatar Thanks Fennie,

The Moth is alright I was more scared of him than he was of me I should think .Very Happy

No not my house and not my chairs although they do look most comfy even if they most probably weigh a ton.

Apart from my old back I have RSI in my right wrist too again, I am in the wars!

Fennie's Avatar Whisking too many meringues? Fending off too many merths?
Throwing too many objects at your other half? I am intrigued by your RSI. Maybe too many Coo posts? But all the same have a purple vibe or two for it and a hug Fxx

Bradan's Avatar Yikes Camilla, I would have died if a moth came at me like that, I am petrified of them. Shocked

Sorry to hear your back is so painful, maybe go to the docs if it doesn't ease up soon. Would you be able to go for an aromatherapy massage or something like that. Bad backs are not helped if you are stressed and the massage is great for tension although it might be best to check with doctor first in case it's anything that might be aggravated by massaging it.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Those chairs are fabulous, but I wouldn't want to have to shift them either.Blink
TLC required Camilla, self administered no doubt but take good care of yourself and don't over do it until sore backs and wrists are better.

My creaky fingers are moaning a bit this morning, combination of weather, arthritis and the fact I've been re-knotting a double string of vintage pearls for a friends daughter to wear for her wedding.

Camilla's Avatar Morning All,

Thanks Fennie and Bradan,

Back is I am sure due to throwing ball for Patch which has affected right hand too. I am left handed but use my right hand for whacking a ball.Very Happy

Aromotherapy may help Bradan but will see how it goes for the moment taking paracetamol and I loathe taking tablets.

Lovely day here birds are singing the sun is just trying to peep through, talking of birds, a rather noisy vocal blackbird early hours of this morning .Very Happy

Daughter and her husband and the dogs will be visiting later this afernoon, what plans have thee today ?

Camilla's Avatar Thanks FN,

Sorry to hear about your fingers I expect as you say all due to using for your work FN, I love pearls my mother used to re-not pearls for her friends too many years ago.

Bradan's Avatar P.S. - I forgot to say, Thanks for putting up the link re the snakes, Camilla Very Happy

MY plans for today are to try and get in the garden but weather is dull and drizzly here just now. If no gardening shall do some decluttering inside.

Posted by: Bradan on 13th May 2017 at 11:57AM

Camilla's Avatar That's okay Bradan thanks.

Hope you can get into the garden later, the weather here is lovely but sun gone in but it is extremely muggy.

Ah the de-cluttering, I did a lot of that in my old house Bradan I could not believe how much I could give away or throw out, things I did not need it's good though makes more space and is supposed to be good for the soul .Very Happy

Fennie's Avatar You paint a lovely, but unfortunate vision of your be-pearled fingers, FN. With creaks and moans they sound like a haunted house. I wonder if they all creak in the same way? Or moan in the same way come to that? And do they creak and moan separately or is a creak here answered by a moan there? But I hope they will still let you play the harp. Very HappyVery Happy

Arthritis is a curse, but with a great hug of wood I can say fortunately it hasn't troubled me yet, so I have sympathy for those who are.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar The harp and piano are good for them Fennie it keeps them strong and supple even though they ache.
I've had arthritis since I was a teenager, aching joints are part and parcel of life, movement is what eases it off... and Voltarol.
