Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

Such beautiful weather yesterday and not one single fluffy cloud in sight, hope all owls and larks are well and the weather has been kind to you too.

Just off to make a brew, if you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Here we are back again. Just been into the hospital to take J's heart monitor back (had to be back before 9am) and then to the garage to have the car serviced and MoT'd. Fingers crossed that they don't find anything untoward.

Lovely pics on the video including of Casablanca, which I am going to see tomorrow night at the cinema and I am going alone the better and more selfishly to enjoy it. In fact it would be a good question for a quiz: 'who would you take with you to see Casablanca?'

Yes cooler today and it rained overnight. Grey clouds this morning.

But what a wonderful terrace - and just like the sort I really want and that is one of the reasons why I would like to live in France or Italy or somewhere wher they do beautiful terraces like that and where I could sit outside in the sunshine to enjoy my breakfast or a glass of wine with friends and family or maybe writing stories and watching the birds. The rest of the house wouldn't matter very much.

I was going to watch the insomnia programme because my sugar levels crash when I have slept badly, but I was beguiled by the fascinating travel programme on BBC2 - a journey across the Sahara towards Timbucktu told by a middle aged lady who was a lot fitter and more adventurous and fluent in many languages than ever I was. Of course you know that there have been these sort of female explorers but somehow you don't quite expect to see them. But well done her. She deserves to become an icon. And know I can't quite recall her name Alison Morrison? I shall watch the insomnia programme on catch-up if I don't fall asleep first.

Toast, plum jam and Greek yoghurt sounds just what you should eat on that terrace, Camilla. Very HappyVery Happy

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Sorry! Reading them again the above remarks about the explorer seem horribly old-fashioned and patronising, particularly as I was never an explorer, never very fit and never a linguist. Not exactly what I meant.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar We watched that too Fennie, Alice Morrison, don't worry we thought the very same thing. It was nice to see a middle aged female explorer doing something like that instead of an athletic stringy blonde 20 something with no life experience.
I liked her style of presenting and her interaction with the people she met.

Hope the MOT goes well Fennie, have you got the Jaaagg back yet Camilla?

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Yes thought you would like that pic Fennie you could have been there this morning while you were eating your breakfast.Very Happy

No worries about what you say about the middle age female explorer Fennie we all know what you meant in kind of hearts. Did not see the programme but will do on catch up later.

Enjoy the film tomorrow wish I was coming with you don't forget the popcorn.

Fingers crossed for the MOT.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar By all means come, Camilla. Tap into your inner Swede. Open your eyes wide, put your head on one side, clasp your hands tightly over your knees and speak in a slow languid drawl. Unfortunately, this wouldn't go to well with the popcorn idea.Very HappyVery Happy
