Cowart's Common Room
I Can't Sleep Chat Post

Hello Owls and Larks,

I hope you had a lovely Easter day, perhaps you had a chocolate egg to indulge in. I have not one chocolate egg at all but I will be indulging with some uneaten chocolate gateau later with my hot cuppa.

Patch and I got soaked in the rain this afternoon, but had lovely walks over the beach.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Oh Camilla, that is sad. Was that choice or did no one in your family buy you and egg? I would tell them off good and proper and throw a wobbly to boot. But perhaps you decided not to have an egg as I did as er are always deluged in children's chocolate. I wasn't expecting J to buy me one and then presented me unexpectedly with a little egg made of dark expensive chocolate with gold leaf upon it. I hadn't bought her one so that made me feel guilty. But there were plenty of eggs bought and we abound in chocolate.

Easter with the family over in Frome and then we bought the grandchildren back here so that their parents could go off dancing all night. They will turn up sometime today no doubt worse for wear. Meanwhile we are on grandparent duty and trying to catch up on all the jobs set aside to be done in that long Easter Break.

Do love the White Rabbit - wonder if he is called Harvey?Very HappyVery Happy

It was not my choice Fennie but perhaps family think I am way past the age of having a choc eggVery Happy no worries though I am sure I can get one on the shelf when I pop to Co-op later in the week. I stocked the larder up which is very full so hardly need anymore food shop this week, HL has a bug since Friday night and is off his food and off his drink too so he has just been having light meals of hot soups.

Enjoy your choc egg Fennie is it Thorntons one they do good chocs. I gave my little grandchildren ones with lots of smarties inside, daughter sent a big choc hare each.

Have a lovely day with your grandchildren.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hi Muddie,

Was raining buckets from yesterday lunchtime and it rained right through during the night too . At the moment periods of warm sunshine but lots of clouds in the sky, weather forecast for today says it will be dry 9 degrees.

Enjoy your stay in Norfolk Fennie I will get to meet up with you one day, I am to be looking after my daughters 2 dogs soon while she moves into her new home she can't believe it has finally happened she has been in rented since last Christmas. I will be at daughters new home and supervise the dogs as she and her husband have so much sorting out to do. My HL has a horrid bug at the moment he must have caught it off of one of the granddaughters when they came to stay last week I have been nursemaid.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar He is a fabulous bunny, love his pantaloons. Very Happy
We have shared a Lindt bunny and have another for later in the week.
Quiet day off today, made a small weaving, a bit of an experiment that seems to have worked nicely.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar My Mother is an avid sewer and knitter and my Father was very artistic and crafty, he was also a dab hand with the sewing machine and having grown up in a house with 9 sisters learned to sew from an early age.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Lucky you FN I would love to be able to sew for instance I would love to make new blinds for the kitchen Roman ones with a fabric of cream linen and lined with little running Hares on fixed to a fabric baton, that would be my project but I am hopeless with sewing . No doubt I shall source one out soon on eBay .
