Cowart's Common Room

In Monmouth this afternoon in a charity shop I bought

A pair of sunglasses (new)
A pair of reading glasses (new)
A pair of proper binoculars (working) circa 1960 Made in Japan 10 x 50.

Can you believe I had change from 11?

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Wow Very Happy sometimes I think charity shops need to ask a little more for their wares, no one would have balked at paying twice that.

KitKatCot's Avatar I sometimes wonder at the prices in charity shops. I bought a jacket, unworn, with the labels still attached for 5. A friend spotted it and said 'I always knew we were soul sisters. I have exactly the same jacket. I did think 100 was a bit steep though, didn't you?'Shocked

Fennie's Avatar I think it's a question of the relationship between how much you need (or don't need) an item and the price. Obviously if you want or need something you will pay more - but if it is just a frivolous purchase.......
