Cowart's Common Room
Midweek Malaise

It's Tuesday - early afternoon and the sun's shining. Guess this is true for almost all of you.

I'm supposed to be doing career path planning with my staff, and then I need to sort some papers for a board meeting.

I've just returned from lunch driving my car with the roof down - and I could have quite happily driven past the work's entrance. Driven down to the seaside ....... or to the riverbank with a picnic ............. or to the zoo to walk around eating icecream .......... or to book into my favourite hotel on the beach in St Ives where the beds are so soft it's like sleeping in marshmallow.

Almost anything apart from mid afternoon paper shuffling.

Lampworkbeader's Avatar You poor thing ... I well remember that that feeling. I used to drive to work and see the ferry for France coming into harbour. On a sunny day it was all I could do to stop myself driving straight onto it and disappearing away.

Faith's Avatar I can remember sitting in classes at school and thinking I should be outside, and at work mentally planning what I'd like to do, and then finding it was no longer sunny when I left for the day....I totally understand how you feel JBSad
