BUT today you can . . . for one day only choose who you would like to be your fantasy family . . .
ie I would choose Anthony Hopkins as my father in his character role in Meet Joe Back.

Gawd - I wouldn't want any actor/actress as a parent/sibling, they are mostly more dysfunctional than my own family and that's saying something!In my fantas,y I would have been found under a gooseberry bush and raised by Brumbies, ably assisted by an army of cats.

This is so difficult. For a father I think I would choose Woody Allan or possibly Dustin Hoffman in Kramer versus Kramer (I would be bound to have two!)
For a Mother I'd choose Katherine Hepburn.
For a brother I think I'd choose Jimmy Stewart - ah - if that wouldn't be too much of a bother.
For an elder sister - Jane Asher
For aunts Felicity Kendall and Helen Mirren
and uncles would be Peter O'Toole and Richard Burton
For god parents I choose exotic and go for Piers Brosnan and Rene Russo from the Thomas Crown Affair.

As far as the Alcott's go - or rather the March family, I suppose Marmee would be quite a nice mother, but think I'll stick with Ma Larkin for mother. Def don't want the (in my eyes) lax Mr. Bennett for a father. Maybe for brothers and sisters I'd have Jane, Robert, Anthea and Cyril - they had tremendous fun and I always wanted to meet the phoenix and the psammead!When I was a child reading to myself I didnt know how to pronounce psammead - so mentally I call it a piss-a-meed!

CH I knew straight away who you were talking about and it's one of my favorites too. Have the newer version of the film which I could watch over and over, practically wear the thing out (vhs). I should get a DVD copy. 
So can I come join you for today? p.s. did you know there was a series called, "Little Men" ? Only aired briefly on Hallmark channel though, sadly. Loved that one too.

I loved the Glen Miller film Westerwitch, such a sad ending though. Loved It's a Wonderful Life also.Mmm, I used to love watching the series on TV of Little House On The Prairie, they played the Ingalls family, and gave so much love to their children.
