Cowart's Common Room

A day spent catching up with all the laundry and ironing....... sigh, and stocking up on the groceries.

Just going to make a cuppa and take a tour of the site, if you can't sleep and there are others on line then come and have a natter here, there's lot's of room on the perch.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla,

I would have loved to help you with the ironing, but ... not the laundry itself.

Beautiful pictures. That garden path leading to the bench just invites the viewer, and hopefully a friend, to stroll down that brilliant green path and sit and relax and talk until sunset.

Quite liked the introduction broadcast of Little Dorrit ... we got to see two hours without any break, so the story is now well underway. Don't you love the names of Dickens characters?

Hope to see you back here soon.

Puffin's Avatar Hello to all the owls who may come to keep me company.
I am all alone with my cuppa coffee,
Tigger and Mie Tu joined a sleepy B.,so off to bed they went.
His head is peeking out from under the puff to see if I was staying.Set the alarm clock and came back down.
Busy day with washing to catch up on.

Puffin's Avatar Hello to Camilla,Frances mirrors my thoughts about the Garden path.
We don't get the same stations down here, lost our ago and replaced it with another 'for sale'
junk show.We never watch them.
Envy the laddie's rich red hair.
The 'you tube' looks interesting,I will save it for later.
It must be 2 a.m. your time.
How was your day,Frances ??
Be right back while I warm up my cuppa.

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances and Puffin, thank you.

Frances - The second picture of garden is Chatsworth, I love it too. I enjoyed Little Dorrit, good that no adverts were taken up on TV in between parts of the storyline. Yes, there are some great character names by Dickens.

Frances's Avatar Hello fellow owls,

Mondays at the shop are always a bit unpredictable ... often the customers' first chance to return something that they have regretted purchasing ... or in these times, find that they cannot actually afford.

And today was one of those Mondays. Lots of returns. However, we had visits from some very lovely customers on their very first visits to our shops. One from Israel, one from Dubai. I love being able to meet folks from all over the globe, whether here on this marvelous site or, even better, in real life.

Camilla's Avatar Pyjams on and with my cuppa...... Daisy is snoozing on the Chesterfield and I have just thrown some more logs on the fire.

It is not often I have to return an item of clothing Frances, although I did for that fab red coat I longed for, too small unfortunately. So interesting to meet so many different people with customers Frances, there were many too when I worked in the city of London.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Puffin,

I need a gardener, mine has just come out of hospital, I love the garden, but it can be quite back-breaking for me.

Daisy does dig sometimes, although not too often in the garden thankgoodness, the only problem I worry about is when she spies the birds, she would kill them of course, am trying to train her not to do. Of course JRT's are hunter dogs, so of course it is not their fault, just their instincts.

I am going to have some ornamental iron-work framing fitted to where Daisy goes to in the garden, I get so upset with the birds, especially too as they are busy nesting at the moment.

Westerwitch's Avatar Thank you Nite Owls . . .ps I gave up on ironing years ago - and only iron items that HAVE to be ironed - amazing what you can get away with.
