Cowart's Common Room
Little Dorrit

One of our public television (i.e., member-sponsored) networks tonight begins an airing of a multi-part version of Little Dorrit. Tom Courtney ... whom I still love from Billy Liar (and have seen on stage) is featured.

Was this run over in the UK years ago? Did you like it ... should I leave you all very soon to glue my eyes to my television? You know that I rarely watch tv.

Re
Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Oh I did love Little Dorrit with that wonderful actor Tom Courtney. It was televised here earlier on in the year, brilliant acting. A friend of mine happened to purchase a very old copy (book) of Little Dorrit last year and gave to me as a present.

I remember Billy Liar from the film, loved that too Frances, enjoy Little Dorrit Frances, wonderful adaptation of the book.

xx

Re:
Toady's Avatar Yes it was a brilliant production but the ending was a little confusing. The dear old BBC in their wisdom kept showing it in half hour episodes which was totally naff as you really need to sit back and get into it.

Re:
Oh, you are so in for a treat! Agree with Toady, though, the half hour episodes were painfully short and a real interruption to the enjoyment. Enjoy!

Re:
Frances's Avatar We are lucky that our very first televised installment was a full two hours. I am hooked. xo
