Cowart's Common Room
Tiny URLs

I'm sure some of you have stumbled on this but for those who haven't, it's a site where you can convert long and unmanageable URLs, like those you get on eBay pages for example, to small and single line URLs, that don't break and can just be clicked on; the others one has to copy and paste into the browser.

For example, http://tinyurl.com/clkdmm is a short address for a much longer one, as you will see when you go to it.

It's a free service/site, and can be found at http://tinyurl.com/.

PS:
URL= uniform resource locator - the address of a web page on the world wide web (also sometimes universal resource locator).

A very useful information source for acronyms, strange terms and other things is The Free Dictionary.
