Wizzard's Avatar I echo Fennie's comment! I dont think the competitors in the festival would be too happy if we switched off the lighting!

Tiggywinkle's Avatar Looking forward to lighting my old oil lamps and love candlelight. Might even cook on my Primus stove. A bit of the pioneer in me.
Hope to have a few friends around.

Pondside's Avatar Yes, we're onto this too - although it's pretty dark out here on any given street lights etc. The night sky is spectacular.

Salle de Bain's Avatar Definitely will do.
It's a subject close to my heart!

We cannot believe how many un-necessary lights are left on in our townland. It seems to be a fashion here that once a house is built, it must have at least double street lamps all the way up the drive. Also, when we drive past the houses here on our way home, there are lights on in most rooms. Such a waste...they leave them on until very late at night too.

I just keep thinking of Polar Bears....and it makes me so mad about peoples irresponsibility!!!
