Cowart's Common Room
First Night

Thanks everyone for your support! The first night of the cricketing play 'Outside Edge' was generally held to be a success by cast, crew and audience. And we have sold a lot of tickets for the remaining nights (sold out indeed tonight!).

Of course there were those little glitches that somehow only manage to appear with a live audience. We always say that by the last night we have perfected the play and if we could only then go 'live' on the following Monday we should have the perfect show. But until we get to the stage of 'opening in Cardiff before moving to the West End' sort of status that is never going to happen.

I was never going to be in this play at all. It is a little bit too fast-moving sitcom-y for my sluggish brain. I'd much rather do big chunky stuff than little snippets, coming and going in and out of doors like a cuckoo clock. I was originally going to be prompt, but then someone dropped out and I was promoted. Ha! Still, all grist to the Mill. We all have to do something while we're 'waiting for Godot,' as it were.

Rosie has offered to blog about the play so I shall leave her to do that. 'The Story of the Missing Gloves' - or 'The Glovetrap' - it could run and run!

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Ah Fennie - so glad it went well - there will always be those glitches - part of the charm of Am Dram. I will be thinking of you tonight . . . how many nights is the play over . . .

Re:
Lampworkbeader's Avatar I think you are amazing. I'm far too shy to ever go on stage.
