Cowart's Common Room
A vist from Kitty

Just reporting back on my recent visit from Kitty, who was the perfect guest and came laden with many delicious gifts from Oop North, including fabulous Easter cake, gorgeous soap and yummy champers Razz. Highly to be recommended as a house guest and every bit as lovely and dewy-complexioned as her picture suggests. Unfortunately, Brown Dog was incredibly badly behaved and spent the whole time jumping up, barking and hurling himself onto the bin... And I spent nearly the whole time saying, "he's not normally like this." Rolling Eyes Embarassed I'm not sure she was convinced...

Re:
Milla's Avatar OI! Where was my Easter cake? Am sure a scuzzy cup of tea has got to be worth it Wink
Yes, it was indeed lovely to see the fragrant Miss Kitty B who came bearing totally appropriate gifties, actually, namely - get this - FOUR packs of Match Attax cards. Mercifully, child lived up to the treat and thanked her nicely. It could have gone horribly wrong. Lolly behaved well, too, in a "dead dog stinking in a rank heap in the corner" sort of way. Hope the course went well, MKB?? Hope LBD said I had meant to parcel off onto you some cashew butter / mayo but was a bit embarrassed you'd look appalled and I'd find it slung in a hedgerow, chucked out of the car in horror. So rather than risk the rejection, I probably looked very rude Sad

Re:
Elizabethm's Avatar Naw Milla. Kitty is far too well bred to look appalled!

Re:
Milla's Avatar but she'd feel it, and I'd know, or I think I knew, that she knew and then she'd know that I knew (cos paranoia IS my middle name) and and and it was just safer to snarf the lot.

Re:
LittleBrownDog's Avatar EmbarassedSadly, no, Frances. Though Kitty was here for a photography course, so may have some lovely photos of trees and flowers to share...

Re:
ChrisH's Avatar Poo! Very jealous of all of you.. I think I would have done a Brown Dog with excitment. Nothing like barking and hurling yourself in the bin to make the party go.

Re:
KittyB's Avatar Laughing
much fun had by all, LBD was the best hostess with the mostess and provided delicious food and wine. Comfy bed and everything. Excellent B&B! Thank you LBD!

Milla, I stuck my finger in your mayo when you weren't looking - so it's all contaminated with Northern-ness now. Ha! But it tased nice, clever Milla, clever Thermie.
And may I report that Milla's boys have impeccable manners and are v. v. handsome.

And LBD's boy played me a tune on the guitar - I was very impressed. He's completely lovely (and I don't like children).

Brown Dog himself was exuberance personified. Laughing The kind of spaniel that gives spaniels their reputation for rumbuctiousness and bounciness! And adorable to boot.
