What is your favourite daffodil?

Uploaded Image

This is a pretty one in my garden at the moment. I love the very pale ones, with pale trumpets, and the tiny miniature daffodils.

Re:
I love miniature ones, and I love Pheasant's Eyes, and any daffodil with a deeper coloured trumpet to the petals. I have some double daffodils in the garden but they are too heavy for the stem so never look as grand as they could.

That one is stunning Faith, thank you for sharing it.

Still sending Purple Vibes to you.

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar I love the double Daffs - we still have just leaves here - so nothing to photograph to show you.

Re:
Patsy's Avatar That's beautiful Faith, really pretty. I particularly like the daffs with pale petals and orangey trumpets. Or is that a narcissus?
Sorry I am no gardener Sad

Puffin's Avatar I love them all,but some of the Dbls.are beautiful.
Mine are just showing a little green peeking up out of the earth.

Re:
Mine are all out too - thought about taking some pictures this afternoon, but then it rained!

Think that one is very unusual and pretty Faith, do you know its name?

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar That is a lovely and unusual daffodil. I like the miniature ones - we have had some of them out for some time. The "grown-ups", as I call the big ones, are only just coming out. I prefer singles to doubles.

Re:
Mountainear's Avatar My favourite are little natives: the Tenby daffodil, Narcissus obvallaris.

That said the big 'uns which seem to be everywhere at present are a welcome sight after winter's greyness. Your's is a very pretty one Faith - unusual trumpet.

Re:
Preseli Mags's Avatar I love the smaller, plainer ones, like the Tenby daff which grows all around here (unsurprisingly!). The one I tend to plant is Tete a tete.

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar I like the unobtrusive natives too - though really wouldn't object to any daffodil.....

Re:
KittyB's Avatar That one is stunning, Faith - really gorgeous and unusual, I haven't seen any like that before.
I love pheasant's eye and bright yellow daffs with orange trumpets. I bought both mothers scented narcissi for mothering sunday and kept a bunch for myself too, they smell heavenly.
