Cowart's Common Room

I enjoyed a lovely weekend with my grandchildren and the beautiful weather has made it that extra special too.

I received a delivery of some gorgeous flowers from my son and daughter for Mother's Day with lovely cards, I have been really spoilt.!

Now off to take tour of the site, although it won't be long before I am snug in bed, quite a busy weekend with grandchildren, but loved having them come to stay.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then come and have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla, and Puffin.

Beautiful day here in New York, but chilly! We still need to have the days rise into the 60's degrees F.

Glad that you had fun with the children Camilla, and that you have some beautiful flowers, too.

Puffin, this was a work day for me, doing payroll, and other back office duties, but also trying to make the incoming customers happy, and hoping that they would like our latest collection.

Looking forward to my day off tomorrow ... even if laundry might start it off.

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances, Puffin, and Tiggy,

Puffin - I am a tad confused, nothing new thereSmile not sure what whacky video's are, or Phidelm?

Pleased you liked the painting it is entitled My Wife and Daughter by the artist - William Metcalfe.

Oooh, poor you Puffin with sniffles cold, did you take the remedy of the honey and lemon with dash of whiskey or brandy?

Frances - thank you, we are set to have chilly weather too tomorrow, knew the spring sunshine was too good to last.

Oh goodie Frances, day off for you, even though laundry will have come around, I do hope you have time to maybe sketch or do some of that gorgeous knitting.

Frances's Avatar Yes, Camilla, I do hope to get that sketch book out one more time.

Puffin, you are referring to our new member. You can click on her name and read some of her blogs, or go over to the Forum and read her introduction.

Getting close to 10 pm here, and pretending-owl that I am, I am already feeling tired.

I might be leaving you all soon, and will be trying to read a chapter or two in my current book, Le Carre's A Most Wanted Man.

Last week I did finish the current book club selection, The Great Western Beach, and found it a remarkable memoir.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar Hi everyone, Glad you had a lovely time Camilla. You are busy Frances with the new collections. We had a lovely day. Tigger & I were invited to an Art Exhibition we go to every year. I have always wanted a nude, that is pleasing to look at. Found it to-day- Tigger said it reminded him of me in my prime, so we bought it, and had a good laugh. Got some lovely fressias and chocolates

Finished knitting a little hat for baby to be, and had to take a photo of my little egg cosy. Going to do more for prezzies, and will put up instructions in my Easter Blog this week.

Bought another vintage black doll on EBay tonight. I missed a similar one last week that went for 22. and I got mine for 5- a great bargin. I was the only bidder. My sewing and knitting will be purely for the dolls, as I have so little spare time.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Frances, oh I see, it is a new member..... I am way behind here on the site, even with homework.

The author Le Carre does write great books, there are two of his I read Tinker Tailor, and the follow up to that. Thank you for the info on the current book you are reading Frances, I am still into Spilling the Beans at the moment, but I am a slow reader.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar Puffin, Look after that cold. Spring colds are inclined to linger sometimes.

Frances's Avatar Just winding down now, but do want to say hello to you Tiggy, and well done on getting that nude from the exhibit. Something really lovely about what Tigger said.

Those freesias are also really lovely, and that little knitted hat is adorable.

Well folks, I will have to hop off the perch now. I look forward to seeing you all soon. Nite, nite. xo
