Cowart's Common Room

A busy day, a friend rang in the evening, must have been on the phone for amost an hour........ heck, we can chat for England. We are going to meet up in a fortnight for friends belated birthday, will be wonderful to see her for best part of the day.

My Grandchildren are arriving for the weekend later today after school, I am looking forward to seeing them.

Now going to pop the kettle on and make a cuppa, and take a tour of the site, see you later.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla,

Love that picture. The style reminds me of an illustrator I always liked, Etienne Delassert ... possibly spelling that name wrong.

I had a long, long day trying to get the new collection on the floor. The staff pitched in, and we did have lots of customers, but my muscles and bones are aching. So looking forward to deep sleep soon.

We even had a celebrity in the shop today, who came in to wait patiently for his lady friend to finish her shopping. The lady has been in many times over the years, but this was the first visit of the gentleman, Aaron Neville. He actually sat and waited, and gave his opinions on various styles she tried on, for about an hour.

One of my staff members actually did ask for his autograph, and another asked about when his next album would be out. (He is working on one, we can reveal!)

I am not a huge fan, but it was fun to see a big star being very polite and low key.

I am hoping to stay awake for another 30 minutes....

Puffin's Avatar The Frog and the lily pads, remind me of the wall paper I put up ina victorian duplex's bathroom.
It had shades of pink too and I painted the wood work to match.
I left behind a lovely bathroom sink with flowers on the bowl, set in a white and gold cabnet. The old one was worn out and here they don't do much for free, not like N.Y. Where they
repaper and paint every so many years.
I am happy you are going to have a nice visit with your Grandson.Makes up for a lot.
Still say too many 2nd 's.For -----Bad for one's health.
I worked on my pantry-getting ready for taps replacement on
SAT.A.M.on the sink there,
Sort of tired.
Hate to leave you so early--Will have to play the music in the morning.
My best to all the rest who visit our perch later in the night.
Got your P.M. earlier-I meant the above--There has been much on the news over here about stress.
Still can't get over losing that lovely young lady.
Sweet dreams and good nite--

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances, thank you.

The artist to the picture is Jinghua gao dalia and is entitled- Eating Out.

I have read that A. Neville is sometime's compared with Sam Cook. That gent who waited for his lady friend must have much patience, my HL would have been rushing for the door in an instance.

Frances - a good night's sleep must be on the cards, so that you awake refreshed before alarm goes Ping, perhaps a lovely hot soak with lavender oils will help you to wind down before bedtime.

Frances's Avatar Thank you for that artist's name, Camilla.

Aaron Neville is part of a legendary family of New Orleans musicians. He has a vibrato in his voice that many like ... alas, not I. Always has a big gold earring, and has a tattoo on his face. Has had many music awards, and some ups and downs in his life.

It is nearing 10 pm here, and I know that is nothing for true owls. However, I am going to sign off, and hope to soon be drifting off to dream land.

Sweet dreams to all the owls. xo

Camilla's Avatar Hello Puffin,

That sink you left behind sounds very pretty, thank you Puffin, grandchildren always are so cheery and fun to be with. Best of luck with tap replacements. I will post a video later, have not chosen one yet Puffin.

Yes, so sad about the actress, I was hoping that she would pull through.

Night Night, sweet dreams, see you tomorrow Puffin.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar Hi Camilla, I'm almost nodding off here. Love the picture. I love Pink and Green. Busy in the garden at the moment. Knitted a little yellow egg cosy for Muffin to-day for her Easter guggy egg. I love getting ready for Easter. Must do a blog with decorations, recipes etc. Frances is very busy at the moment - loved her St.Patricks day photos. Very sad about Nathasha Richardson. My SIL who is a cinematographer knows Liam Neeson well. He is such a lovely guy. Can't find the attachment for transfering photos to my computer. Hope I didn't leave it in Australia. Hate looking for something. Have fun with your grand children. It gives us a second childhood. I now into buying vintage dolls, have 2 on the way from EBay. Mush says I am getting more eccentric as time goes on.
