Cowart's Common Room

I spent some time gardening today, weather was gorgeous, and took Daisy for some lovely walks near the woods nearby.

While I was eating my breakfast this morning and looking out of the window I spied............... a rat.! enormous it was too and saw it quickly dash through to the bottom of the garden, no doubt if Daisy had been out there at the time, rat would have been a cropper.

Well I did indulge with a glass of the old Guiness tonight, seeing as it was St Patrick's Day. Takes me back to when I was expecting my first child, I had a serious passion for the stuff.

Just off to make a cuppa and take a tour of the site, I am sure the lovely Frances will be along soon and may have taken some pictures of the Parade in NYC.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Bizarre, Camilla and Puffin,

I know that I posted a comment a while ago, and there's no sign of it.

What did it say...let me consult bad memory. Know that I was telling Camilla that I would not want to see any rat from my window. And telling Puffin that I was glad you got a good report from your doctor.

And reporting that yes, I did go to the parade, and have posted a blog with lots of photos.

Back to work tomorrow, wishing that I had another day off!

Camilla's Avatar Hello Frances,

Thank you. Ooh, Camilla dashing over to take a look at France's blog and pics, see you later.

Will you have to work over the Easter period Frances.?

Posted by: Camilla on 18th Mar 2009 at 01:13AM

Frances's Avatar Definitely have to work during that time.

The shop will be closed on Easter Sunday. That is one of the very few days that we do close.

I try to let staff members who have family members nearby have some days off around that Sunday, but still need to keep the shop staffed on the prior Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and the following Monday. Since I have no family nearby, I will definitely be on duty, along with some staff members who do not celebrate Easter.

I do look forward to resumption of chocolate bliss on Easter. That doesn't sound very spiritual, does it? xo

Camilla's Avatar Frances, what amazing pictures you have posted for us, thank you for sharing with us.

The Spring Collection will be out, so hoping for your shop to have a good turn out this Easter Frances. Oh yes indeedy to choc, I adore choc, not so hot on the cadbury cream eggs though, quite sicky I get with cream yolk inside.

Frances's Avatar Glad you liked my photos, Camilla.

I have the early shift at the shop tomorrow, so I'd better log off now, and start my journey to that land of nod.

See you tomorrow, xo

Puffin's Avatar I also found 'Tis the last rose of summer'She has a lovely voice
Mine was higher and that last was one I too sang and loved.
My voice got strained and went quite low in the end.
Course I can't sing at all now.
I think like Julie Andrew's I will learn to talk it a bit. What a heart break for her-such a beautiful voice.
They never really said, but wonder if she had her Thyroid out too.
Giving you peaceful dreams.
