Do any of you brainy people know what the star is hanging fairly low in the western sky in the early evening please?

Blossomcottage's Avatar Its almost certainly Venus, it was at its brightest at the end of last month and is slowing sinking and becoming less bright I think it becomes the morning star as opposed to the evening star later this month or early next month.

LittleBrownDog's Avatar Yup - that's Venus. It's ever so bright at the moment - has been for a couple of months.
