Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

A lovely relaxing day, the weather here has been very wet but the sun did try to peep through in the afternoon.

I watched Larkrise to Candleford on BBC1 this evening, followed by The Victorians, written and presented by Jeremy Paxman to which he has written a book on. Then quickly switched over to ITV3 and hooray..... a costume drama, Mansfield Park, followed by Ladies of Letters with Ann Reid and Maureen Lipman. I am not really a TV lover, but was good to see some of the programmes I love, oh and I did have a box of chocs to keep me company and a glass of the old red stuff.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Just going to make a cuppa and take a tour of the site, see you later.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Hello Camilla, and I see Puffin is also still awake.

Well. Back to work today, and I am delighted to say that there were not too many unresolved situations to address.

It was unseasonably mild in New York, but that did not really cause us to have a huge number of potential customers coming through our front door.

Still, many love ladies did find some items that suited them, and departed with smiles on their faces.

Since I did get up an extra hour early this morning, I am feeling an extra hour's tiredness now. All the same, it was wonderful that even on an overcast afternoon that when the 6 pm hour arrived, the light was still on Fifth Avenue.

Think that we have turned a corner.

Re:
Tiggywinkle's Avatar Hi Frances, Just taking a break from clearing out and filing 500 emails. At it all day, but it has to be done. Can't stop thinking of the joy you must get from your painting. I envy your talent. I have soo much to catch up on, but it helps getting over missing my little family in Oz. Tigger is so glad I'm home, he missed the mess of all my projects! The weather was beautiful here yesterday. Had tea in the garden with some friends who called to see my fabric purchases. To-day was cold and miserable, but Spring is on its way. Will start on the garden next week. Bet you find it hard being back at work, after your lovely break.

Re:
Puffin's Avatar Good Evening Camilla,
Due to our Day Light savings we have moved up an hour.
This makes me earlier to the perch.
The lady likes the same shade of blue-green paint that I do My big book case in the front hall is that color.
I will walk about and let some one else visit with you.
Have my French roast cuppa coffee with me.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Tiggy, did you actually say 500 emails. Yes you did, and I am sure that Tigger and many others are delighted to have you back home, while so many others are sorry that you got on that plane.

Thanks for your words re painting, and the struggle to return to a work regime after a little breath of freedom.

Hoping that you will soon be quite be past all jet lag, and back to the creativity that you bring to life in Dublin.

Late for you to still be awake. Turn out the lights, put your head on a soft pillow. Sweet dreams.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Puffin, you are a more dedicated owl than I am. My eyes just won't stay open beyond a certain hour. And with our early start this morning to establish Daylight Savings Time, I am now going to log out, wind down, get some sleep.

Back to work tomorrow. Today was just a little catch up day. Tomorrow will bring on many more challenges.

Hoping to see you all tomorrow evening. xo

Re:
Puffin's Avatar Typing with me,
Yes,loads of books and some unread too.
A large Red Hawk-big enough to carry away a large bird
Bob lost his car keys in the driveway and later,we found a poor mangled bird and no keys.
Would love to see it's nest-full of shiny things,I'll bet.

Re
Camilla's Avatar Thank you Puffin,

Sorry to hear you had trouble on site, I logged on alright, then my PC went pear shaped, and I could not do pictures, got there in the end.

Hope Bob found his keys, I lost mine earlier in the year, found them deep in pocket to my pinny.!

Oh Puffin sorry to hear about little bird, hope that Hawk fly's off and leaves little birds, I always worry when they are nesting too.

I am off to bed now, night night, sweet dreams, and see you tomorrow.
