My hellebores

I had to resize the photo so it may be very small, but it wouldnt let me post a normal size for some reason.
Zoe, at last I have a double hellebore, a pink picotee!

They look fabulous Elizabeth, particularly like the creamy yellow toned ones. and yes a pink Picotee, they are so delicate and another favourite of mine too. Lovely photo.

Oh, more lovely pictures putting me and my garden to shame. Are these hellebores difficult, for mine is doing diddly.

I only have one hellebore..a deep purple...not sure what variety it is...

I did have 6 but the phantom strimmer has been out there againEvil or Very Mad

I never knew about these beauties until maybe ten years ago, when I came upon some of them in Central Park's Shakespeare's Garden. What are these flowers, I asked my friends, walking along the slate pathway with me. No idea, they replied.

So... I got out a book and found a new flower to put amongst my absolute favorites.

and here are more lovely hellebores! reminds me of my beloved neighbor 'Auntie Esther' who used to put begonias (sp?) in bowls of water like this. Very Happy
