Cowart's Common Room

Lots ot phone calls this evening from friends dotted about the country, and a card today from a dear friend I used to work with in London, she tells me she now has a Laptop.......... oh goodie, will be good to catch up.

Not a very good nights sleep last night/morning, so will be hopping into bed of slumber a little earlier tonight.

I had to pop to local store late this evening, I had to scrape the ice off the windscreen before I could go anywhere, goodness it's a tad parky.! That'll teach me to keep car under wraps.

Just off to to make a hot cuppa.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar Camilla, you do make me laugh. The doorway picture is a beauty!

I glimpsed it briefly and then began some advertures trying to regain connection to the server. Let's see how long I stay connected this time.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Frances,

Hoping that your connection to internet stays a while longer for you.

Just off to answer a PM Frances, back soon.

Frances's Avatar While you were having a chilly day, ours was rather mild, no hat or gloves really were required.

I went on several errand rounds, including a venture into midtown, to check our some sales at the famous Bloomingdale's. What was interesting was that although the main floor seemed very crowed, once I went up a few floors on the escalator, it seemed very calm. I got what I was after, and got back outdoors quickly.

Time just flies by. I wanted to find a pair of boots today, and had no luck whatsover. I did manage some apartment clean-up, cooking, and did a bit of banking and investment stuff.

And then, it was sundown. Just amazing.

Back to work tomorrow, and then we will have shortened hours on New Year's Eve, closing at 5.

The sidewalk vendors are out already selling the funny glasses with the 2009 design ... the 00 are where the eyes look out.

Just had a phone call from my assistant manager. Her baby is ill again, and she won't be in tomorrow. So... longer day for me. Hope that little boy feels better soon. xo

Camilla's Avatar Oh I remember that name in NY Frances of Bloomingdale's, I believe it to be a very huge store. I am intriqued now to know which you were seeking,

I love Boots Frances, one of my passions, hoping that you will find some gorgeous ones perhaps in another store soon.

Not long now Frances before New Year's Eve, those glasses sound really funky.!

So sorry to hear that your assistant manager's baby is poorly again. I get so upset when babies and children are ill, I pray that little baby will soon be better.

Night Night Frances, see you tomorrow.

Love Camilla.xx

TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar Hi Frances,
I'm here flitting around travel sites. Palomino our daughter in Australia is expecting her third baby the end of May. Mr. T has been great over Christmas, and although he has lots of tests coming up in Jan, he is insisting I go over to visit her in Feb. He amazes his doctors, as he can be so ill and then bounces back. Naturally would love to go, but I'm in a tizzy. He is so good about me having a normal life, and appreciates how hard I have worked looking after him and running the business for the past 5 years, without many breaks. I just feel sorry he is not allowed to travel that distance, but he doesn't mind.
