Cowart's Common Room
Hi all, I'm back

First, welcome Celtic Heart. I am both the Matriarch and the Matron, so if you need wisdom Laughing or medication and TLC, then I am your woman!
To the rest of you, get those vests tucked in and generally behave - Matron is back from the South. I shall do my homework on my blog, probably tomorrow, but meantime -
I am very weary - 2 different beds (not many I hear you say but you try being 78 and having to share with Him, when usually you don't.) Several days with 2 small girls, 2 cats and a yellow lab puppy, same days with a husband and his only son who together never, ever stop talking. And same again with a dil with whom I / we can talk the hind leg off a donkey. Her parents on Christmas day - all day. Boxing Day at the other end of the village with my son, his wife, 2 boys, and his mil & fil. Walked both ways, so no restriction on the alcohol intake. Then to Selsay, to my daughter. A brief bit of peace. Next day, my son, wife and 2 boys, plus 2 of C's partners children and a girl friend for yet another Christmas party. Are we surprised that my voice has gone on holiday? No we aren't!
Now we are at home. My very own bed and my Chinese silk duvet call. Seventh heaven - or bliss!

Thank you, Matron, for the welcome! I'm so jealous, a Chinese silk duvet! Wow, too right, Bliss! I don't think I'd want to get out of bed in the morning.

Re:
TIGGYWINKLE's Avatar Welcome home from all your family festivities, Withy. You certainly covered a lot of ground. There's nothing like your own bed. You'll sleep like a baby tonight. I have had a totally lazy self-indulgent day, reading, thinking, planning, watched a movie, and it has been bliss.

Re:
KittyB's Avatar No wonder you're weary - I'm exhausted after reading that lot!
Sounds like you had a wonderful time, though.
Welcome back, O Wise One. I was going to say O Matronly One but that'd probably earn me a clip around the lug'ole! Wink

Re:
Frances's Avatar Withy, it is grand to have you back.

I can well imagine how your home looked wonderful, even if all those Christmas festivities with so many family members do sound truly fun.

As you have already seen, we have a lovely new member, Celtic Heart!

Rest well, and have a good look around the place tomorrow morning.

And, not too far off now ... that Happy New Year wish is growing day by day.

xo

Re:
Faith's Avatar Good to have our matron back! Lots of coughs and colds for you to attend to!

I was exhausted reading about your travels, and could just crawl into your lovely bed for a sleep now, even though I only got up an hour and half ago!
