Merry Christmas from the Pacific Northwest

I imagine that most of you are sitting at your Christmas Eve table, or getting ready for church while I am still baking and cleaning in preparation for the evening's celebrations
I wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. It's lovely to know you!

Ivy's Avatar The flags are they a Canadian tradition too or is it one of the great Dan's childhood memories? Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Pondside's Avatar Good question, Ivy! The Danish flags are for the Great Dane's first nationality, although we also have a string of Swedish flags because he was born in Sweden (mother was visiting and he came early - like his grandson!) The Canadian flags are for his country-by-choice and for the children and me. They are all very festive!Uploaded Image

Frances's Avatar What a beautiful tree! I saw the red leaves and thought Oh Canada, but now see that that symbol has even greater meaning round the world.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful Christmas. I bet that the youngest generation will be building lovely memories over the next few days. xo
