Children's Christmas book

Do/did your children have any favourite books at Christmas? I found a few - sorry for fuzzy photo. I was very fond of the Berenstain bears Christmas book.

Lampworkbeader's Avatar Is that one of the wonderful Little Grey rabbit books lurking there?

Angel's Avatar Easy this one...

Twas the Night before Christmas...for both boys. Especially a beautifully illustrated version by Christian Birmingham.
And the Snowman...Raymond Briggs-the version with just illustrations and no words.

And the other which is always being read by Quiet Mousie is "Mogs Christmas"-Judith Kerr.
He got it out from Library three years ago and we now have our own dog eared version.

Faith's Avatar Oh yes Gertyb I've got a Christmas at Blackberry Farm somewhere, its lovely.... and also Mogs Christmas, Angel - is that the one with the jolly uncle and two aunties on tippy toe and the moving tree?

KittyB's Avatar Yes - Angel mentioned the 'Twas the Night before Christmas book so beautifully illustrated, and we love Christmas at Blackberry farm too. I am sadly wondering how many more years I can get away with reading such books as a boy who is nearly-9 may be too cool when he's a boy who is nearly-10. And I have a feeling he'll start calling me 'Mum' soon too. Sob...Crying or Very sad

Fennie's Avatar I'd love to see that WW. I am not sure we collectively had a favourite, Faith, though my personal one was The Tailor of Gloucester with its wonderful of evocations of animals being able to talk to each other on Christmas Eve.
