Cowart's Common Room
Late to this news

Am late to this news not having logged in for a while and now am sitting here with tears streaming down my face, so much so I can hardly see the keys to type.
I have only 'known' Sam for a short time but she seems so strong and lively inspite of the tough times they were having. So this sudden departure from the improvement he seemed to be showing must hit doubly hard. Poor, poor girl.
But the tears have really been brought on by the members of the PC herd, who have gathered round and the messages and pictures of support and love are truely breathtaking. It underlines what I was saying only the other day. This is a wonderful place to be, full of wonderful, understanding and supportive people. (Thank you for those nice comments re B going in to hosp. he is betterish and home again now) in comparison to Sams news it was but a wee hiccup.
I would love to be part of the candle lighting vigil on the 16th.
(If worsd are spelt wrong it's because I still can't see!)
God bless and much love to all PC's and esp to Sam so mnay miles away but so close.

Re:
Exmoorjane's Avatar Oh CK, I think we all know how you feel. You don't have to have met someone to 'know' them and I often think we go a lot deeper here than we might even with everyday friends. The way this community has 'held' Sam and Richard is just beyond words and I am very proud to be part of such a wonderful group of people. As WW said earlier, the fact that you know someone is usually online at whatever time of day or night is a huge comfort.
Other people may not 'get' it - but, frankly, who cares? We do, and that is all that matters.
Very VERY pleased to hear that B is home now - and hope he is soon feeling MUCH better.

Re:
I agree with you whole heartily. Sam's loss ripples ever outwards to us all and I hope the returning waves of love and support are felt by her.
PC is so special indeed a large family, who are always there. There is such a wealth of talent, experience and knowledge literally at our finger tips.
I'm not always very vocal but I thoroughly enjoy and learn so much from all of you, thank you xxx
Sorry CK I hope all goes well with you xx

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Thank you Kate - a lovely post and sums up again how we are all feeling. I think so many of us have been taken by surprise by the depth of our feelings and yet been so warmed by the love that is coming from everyone and it has deeply underlined that we are all part of a very special community which is not diminished in any way by it being virtual.

So glad that B is home now - that must be such a relief to you. Love and hugs to you both.

Re:
Ivy's Avatar Like the others said before me, its wonderful to have you around. Please Kate don't compare your hubbies disease with what happened to Sam's husband. You can't. Each fate is cruel in it's own way. In German you would say: you can't compare pears with apples. I don't want to come across bossy but I feel you are not taking yourself and your fears serious enough, and that's a thing you should not do. Love and hugs to you too, you strong and brave woman.

Angel's Avatar What a lovely post CK. And I am so pleased that B is home with you. It must be such a worry.
(+I completely agree with Ivy by the way)

You take care and B

Best wishes to both

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar That was truly lovely, Kate and brought tears to my eyes yet again.
I agree with Ivy - she has put it very well. Take great care of yourself and B and feel yourselves under the blanket of love.

Re:
CalicoKate's Avatar Thank you all for encouragement and kind words.
Have been on the verge of crying all day despite my various activities.
After a week of hospital hassles I prepared myself for a two day craft fair and think I might have exhausted myself a little. A slow day is called for.
B seems to be going the wrong way today and not getting betterer & so I am insisting we go to the Drs tomorrow.
Love to you all
